Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Saudi ArabiaI tried two flats and always the coaches are dusty. It can cause allergies. Outside the room, the carpet is really old and u can smell the dust. The elevator is always broken ( really always ).only one elevator is working. It has been broken for over a year now.
Location, the antique style of the flats. The reception staff are friendly.

United KingdomNo regular tea bags in the kitchen - just mint tea!
Good location. Decent room - bed was comfy and there was a fan which was good as weather was very warm. Staff on desk were nice and helpful. There was an issue with the water in the room cutting off two days running - staff dealt with it quickly. Very basic breakfast that you can pick up from reception (porridge pot etc). Very useful co-working space on one of the upper floors - good if you are travelling for work.

IrelandToo many things weren't working on this trip. The first receptionist wrote the wifi password in all caps -- which was wrong. The only kitchen socket kept shorting out -- turns out the toaster was broken. We got a new one on the 3rd day. Until then, we had to move and plug in the kettle and microwave across the room. The kitchen sink water didn't work for a couple of minutes after flushing. There were some tea/coffee ingredients, but no black tea. The fan was broken. The rainfall showerhead had a pathetic drip/very little power. There was only one chair for 2 people. It was pricey considering these few nagging problems.
The location is perfect -- very short walk to Paddington Station or Hyde Park. The area is full of useful shops and restaurants, and it feels very safe, even around midnight. The bed is comfortable. The staff were helpful and always there. It's nicely fitted despite the slopping floor in an old building. There's ample space for 2 people, newly decorated and clean. The kitchen space has all the basics with a decent-sized fridge (no freezer). They arranged an early check-in for us and were very prompt with emails. We stayed here 6 months ago and thought it was excellent and competitively priced.

United KingdomLarge cracks in bathroom tiles, felt quite dangerous when walking with bare feet. Offered breakfast of porridge or a takeaway bag when we checked in. Told it would be set up on the large table in the lobby in the morning. Went downstairs and there was nothing there.
Small, but clean studio apartment. Comfortable bed.

Hong KongThere is no any air conditioner which somehow would be concerning during hot summer. Yet, an electric fan is provided so it will not be very stuffy. Another thing to be mention is that the room is a bit dim so lighting would be another concern.
Everything is well organised

United States of AmericaThe room was not cleaned. Huge stain the carpets. The walls were scratched. There was mold in the shower and the sink faucet was spraying everywhere. The soap labels in the shower were illegible. Clearly no one had seen the apartment before we arrived. How is there is no closet? How are there no hangers for clothes? One of the 3 coffee cups was broken, cleaned and put back into the cupboard for re-use (why?). The floor slopes significantly. This is not what we expected. Very disappointing.
The location, the tall ceilings, the view and the very friendly staff.

SwitzerlandRoom was clean but hotel facilities are not very clean. Staff was ok - not bad but not exceptional - they do their job - nothing more/nothing less. - Facilities (Stairs etc) are not very clean and equipment are somewhat basics. I would come back but would not remember this place as the most beautiful hotel I have been into - went end of April and room isolation was poor. We were cold inside our room while it was ~10 degrees outside which is not very cold indeed. I am not sure i would come during Winter
Very well located if you arrive from Heathrow and close to Oxford Street / Hyde Parc (2’ from Lancaster Gate station). Bed was good
