Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsAs it is very close to Earl’s Court underground, you can actually hear the metro on the tracks every 8 minutes. It didn’t bother me that much, but it could be annoying to others. The room was a bit dusty.
Close to the tube, restaurants and supermarket.

United KingdomLight switches were broken, some lights did not work, switches were pushed into the wall. Bathroom had mould in grouting and some grouting was missing in the shower, paint was falling off the bathroom roof. The WiFI was too poor to even speak off.

FranceThe lift was out of service and our room was on high floor making my parents to have difficulties to reach them. The hotel is just next to the railways so it is quite noisy if you let you window opened. Fortunately, there is air condition.
Location is very convenient, only 2 minutes away from the tube station. Lots of restaurant around. Staff was very helpful and managed to change our room from 4th floor (too high for my parents) to 2nd floor.

GermanyRoom 401 is directly on the staircase so it's a little bit loud and unluckily I had a small visitor on my second night (a cute mouse) cause the door doesn't go all down to the floor. I was offered to change the room by the stuff and they apologized a lot over the days. No more visitors afterwards.
Location is great and the stuff was very nice and kind all the way.

United KingdomBathroom was very small and the room was hot. We were on the ground floor and very close to the tube station so having the window open was pretty noisy when we wanted to cool down.
The room was a good size for what we needed and the bed was comfortable. Location is great in a nice area of London with lots of restaurants, bars and cafes just around the corner.

CanadaThe room is very cramped, makes sense for solo travellers but if you’re too tall or too wide, it may be an issue when using the toilets. Wifi is also extremely bad on second floor and they have no remedy. It didn’t work except for one night. They need to find a way to improve this services

United KingdomRoom was a little small, but we only needed it for sleeping purposes, so not a biggy for us. Air con didn't work in the room, temp was around 30C which may explain why it struggled. Decor needs a little freshen up, but nothing major.
Good location, close to Earls Court tube. Me and 10yo boy went to a match at Stamford Bridge, easy 30 minute walk away. Bed was comfy, breakfast had plenty of choice.

IsraelThe air conditioner enters ventilation mode every ten minutes and does not return to cooling, only if restarted. The sink is uncomfortable.
The room was as in the booking description. The staff was friendly and helped with everything I asked for. The location is great, quiet area, close to the tube. There are many cafes and also supermarkets around. The noise of the tube didn't bother me at all. The room was cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities. Yes, the room is very small, but this is also something that is written before booking. What was not comfortable was the sink, very uncomfortable to wash your face. There was some mold in the shower. Full value for money. My stay was comfortable and pleasant, many thanks to the hotel staff.
