When I got there, the building was locked, there was no reception, no one to ask about how to get inside, so I called the number I found on Booking.com. The person who answered was extremely rude, not giving me any info but telling me in a really really rude and irritated way to check my email and then he hung up. I didn't receive any email from the property, so I called back to again ask how to get inside the building. Then he just sent me the pin number in an SMS. Eventually I did get the email he was talking about - 2 days after I had left.

I do not really want to repeat other negative things from the other comments - they are all true, including the bass and roaches... and this, guys, is simply unacceptable. I killed 4. Maybe ask your mamas for some advice, how to evict them? Apparently, they live in the spots difficult to reach and clean, like in and under the oven or microwave, the drawers, etc. Please. If you receive guests, you must not have pest. I hope you manage. Your place is nice

I feel like after many negative comments and super low scores, this place must be given a bit of justice. I was already looking for another place to stay, but this one appeared more than bearable. It's one of the cheapest places half an hour by public transport away from the central area, subway is in two minutes walk, Camden is exceptional by itself and definitely worth looking at from the inside, the hostel is tiny - just three rooms, it welcomes children, which is rare, and overall it's definitely not the worst place you may end up when travelling on a budget. The bathroom was clean, and so were the beds and the room, by no means new, but felt fresh and tidy. As we were staying in the quadruple room, which doors opened to the kitchen, it felt like a little flat, but maybe we were lucky to be almost the only ones in the hostel at the time.

We will take ear plugs next time as we were in the front bedroom and with the bars underneath, it was tricky to sleep.

My sons (9 and 12) and I stayed for one night! Great location. Clean and perfect for what we needed it for.

Due to being above a bar which closes at 2am on a Friday way we expected the noise. (Base from the club and people outside) Regardless of closing the window. I wouldn't stay here if looking for a quiet sleep especially if going to be in before 2am. For us it was fine just warm. Would suggest putting a fan in the room when don't want to open window due to noise? Also sharing a bathroom is fine just limited as can't just go to the toilet when you want also other people not cleaning up after themselves. I would avoid if can't do steep steps.

Very central to markets and underground. Spacious and clean room. Beds fairly comfy and clean fresh bedding and towels. Big bin and storage space. Clean toilet and good working shower. We didn't actually use the kitchen but looked clean. Contact was on hand straight away when needing help to enter the building. 100 would stay here again.

First it was not specified that it was a common bathroom. In addition the room wasn’t clean (with dust everywhere). There are stains on the walls and mould. There are no shutters on the window. Last, we met several insects in the kitchen such as cockroaches.

It was well located near a tube station, and in an animated neighbourhood.

Thilfy no quilt covers ripped. No towels changed rude cleaner who threw us out virtually at 11am . Left my pills there for my heart and angina and when messaged told nothing there which we knew is there. I’m not happy that you have such a poor place on your website not happy

The bedroom smelt of cigarette smoke… not a little bit, but as if a someone had been smoking in the room for 40+ years and then the owners decided to put some paint on the walls. The mould in the ceiling of the bedroom and bathroom was not particularly welcoming! The “hostel” is a above a reggae bar, so the bass tones from the bar vibrated through the house late into the night. The advertisement is for “Hostel rooms in Camden”. I made the mistake of thinking that I was staying at a hostel. It is not. It is two or three rooms above a bar. If you are twenty-something, like to party, smoke and don’t care about your health then this is a cheap place for you to stay. If you want to stay at a hostel, sleep and be able to breathe, then find somewhere else!
