Wi-fi was patchy and the room somewhat dimly lit (not much light coming from the windows). We could also hear a lot of noise from people walking in the corridor outside our room, i.e. sound-proofing would be a plus.

Comfortable beds, hearty breakfast, location close to a bus stop, clean bathroom, gluten-free bread was available on request (important for us).

Lovely room with balcony, great breakfast, friendly staff, good location. Easy walking distance to the Antelope taproom and bottle shop, the newest and best venue in Godalming High Street. Great beers, welcoming staff and a great beer garden at the rear.

The only slight issue for us was that the room was a little chilly and we could not get the radiator to work. Also we had to pay extra for latte's and cappucino's at breakfast, which seemed a little tight.

We had a good lunch prior to checking in. Room was a good size and bed very comfortable. Good breakfast included.

The family room was super clean and very spacious. We had been planning to go into town for dinner but decided to go downstairs to the restaurant instead and we’re so glad we did, the food was excellent.

There was a bad smell coming from the shower soak away in both my daughters room and our room too. We had to cover it with towels on both days, which rather spoilt our stay a bit.

Lots of steps up to entrance. It was pouring with rain during my stay, the steps were slippery and the white edge markings needed renewal as they were not easy to see in the dark and rain. Inside, lots of steps up to the bedroom, not easy for old ladies with luggage and the bedroom door close was so stiff it made it difficult to get into the room. The dark decor made the room rather gloomy for my liking.

Clean room and shower room, plenty of towels with good tea and coffee facilities, ironing board, deaf alarm provided when I asked for it and lots of parking. Staff very considerate and helpful, food was well-cooked (thank you to the chefs) with lots of choice, very prompt service and reasonably priced. Meeting room was excellent as was the service from staff and the room facilities when I was in a meeting there.

A better explanation of when the coffee bar would be set up in the morning (we were told what time breakfast would be served and that there would be coffee available, but not that the coffee wouldn't be available until breakfast hours.) It took a few minutes to work out how the shower worked as the same knob works the overhead and hand-held shower features.

The view overlooking the garden was lovely. The room was comfortable and quiet, with plenty of space. The washroom was also generous in size.

Only criticism was some noise not sure if it was from downstairs or other rooms loud music until 11pm one evening and pillows were a little lumpy

We had quite a large room which was great(room 15) , but a couple of comfy chairs would have been nice for a change of sitting on the bed .

Not a great fan of the compulsory 10% service charge. Think it should be the prerogative of the paying customer. No volume on BBC 1 during stay. Forgot to mention this on leaving as didn’t particularly impact on our stay.

Quite a well appointed hotel just a short walk from centre of Godalming. Staff extremely welcoming. Lovely evening meal with relatives. Very comfortable bed and lovely sized room with a good shower.
