There wasn’t anything not to like.

The building was beautiful, interior was lovely with high ceilings and the inside interior decor tasteful. Any equipment you required was available, we didn’t utilise it as we only stayed a night but if you stayed longer the apartment was fully equipped for cooking and laundry. It was clean, spacious and comfortable with great location to jump on the bus or metro. Check in was smooth.

The shower in the ensuite room was a small corner cubicle and the second bathroom had a bath without a shower. It would have been better to have a shower in both bathrooms, and to have a larger shower enclosure in the ensuite bathroom. The decor in the apartment was also very dark… dark grey carpets, dark grey kitchen units and dark furniture. As this was a basement apartment without a lot of natural light, it made the apartment generally feel very dark. For the price, you would expect more modern decor, furniture and furnishings… it felt a little dated. Also, for the price, you would expect more attention to be paid to the finer details (e.g. milk, bottled water etc.). Parking is available outside the property, however there was not always a space available. It is a first come, first served system which we knew about, but it was a bit frustrating.

The property is in a fantastic location. Walking distance to the local bars and restaurants in Jesmond and right opposite Jesmond metro station for a very quick metro ride into the city centre. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. The kitchen, living area and bedrooms were spacious enough for four adults. Check in and checkout was very simple.

Only problem was the fire-alarm going off at about 10pm one night and having to sort it out by calling a remote warden. Also it would have been nice to have a segregated recycling bin, but someone did come and take all my recycling on my second day.

The advertisement stated that there was a fully equipped kitchen. Whilst the kitchen had lovely appliances, there was virtually no equipment to enable us to cook at the apartment. There was only one A5 size baking tray for example. How are you supposed to cook for 4 people on that?? There was nothing else that could go in the oven! We ended up having to buy a baking dish and some serving dishes, just to be able to use the oven and make some basic meals. We also bought a cafetiere to make filter coffee. I also expected that nowadays there would be a means of making good quality coffee at the apartment. There was a dishwasher, which was totally unnecessary, as there were barely any dishes provided to wash!

The location of the apartment was excellent: right opposite the metro station and only a few minutes from the city centre. Access to the apartment was by key code and worked smoothly. The cleanliness was excellent and the bins were emptied every day. I would rate the property as excellent in all respects except for my comments below regarding kitchen equipment, which was extremely lacking.

When I booked, parking was advertised as free but it’s actually an app that you download and pay. It was very reasonable and I never struggled for a space but it shouldn’t be advertised as free parking

Some of the walls in the kitchen could use paint touch ups - no big deal but would make it feel nicer due to lots of scuffs and stains on the walls. The kitchen could use a coffee maker - there is only a kettle - and more silverware and dinnerware. I know the apartment is for four people but having just the exact number of each makes it difficult to cook anything. There are not many hangars to hang clothes so I bought some extras and there was only a washing machine…no dryer. An upgrade to a washer dryer combo would be worth the investment and helpful to guests (I think a few units have a combo). Also, bathroom storage is very limited to one little shelf above the sink. The shower water pressure isn’t great and the apartment we had had the absolute smallest shower - it’s probably a snug fit for a grown man! The parking situation can be a little difficult at times, especially if there are trucks allowed to park in the spots. It’s good you can pay for a spot but there were several times when it was crowded and very difficult to park due to big trucks. Lastly, the WiFi is kind of spotty - it worked most of the time but was highly inconvenient when it didn’t. These are really just minor things…our stay was great.

The property is in a great location - very easy to get to the Metro or a quick walk to the cute Jesmond high street. The apartment itself is well laid out and spacious and it was clean and modern. The kitchen was well equipped with a cooktop, an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher toaster and kettle. There was housekeeping to take out the trash every day and linens are changed if you stay over a week. There are paid parking spots in front of the buildings. The property was very safe and we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The communication with the management was fantastic and they were extremely helpful. It was exactly what we needed for the extended time we were in Newcastle. We would definitely return.

Parking can be an issue if the car park is full but as long as you're happy to move it a couple of times or park about 5 minutes away it's doable.

Beautiful apartment, very spacious and well equipped and very clean. Security is good with 2 separate keyless entry pads to get into the building then the flat itself. It's about a 10 minute walk into town and there's supermarkets and coffee shops about 5 minutes away in the other direction.

When I tried to pay for the parking it kept saying this site is not compatible with your device. In the end I had to phone a friend back home to make the payment for me using his device. It would be much better if the parking was included in the booking price.
