One of the staff at the restaurant clearly did not want to be there and he made us feel like an inconvenience which was a shame as the rest of the staff really were wonderful. Having no dogs in the restaurant and no food in the dog friendly bar feels like they are trying to starve dog owners. Very odd policy for such a great dog friendly hotel. This should be reviewed as the options didn’t work for us which lost the hotel revenue. It would also put us off coming again.

I loved that we could bring our dog, the views were beautiful, cream tea was great, most of the staff were wonderful and there were nice thoughtful touches throughout. The spa was lovely and general space and feel of the hotel was of a very high standard. Breakfast tray idea was great.

Spa facilities, only one small hotub, sauna and steam room, about 10 people booked in at once, a lot of sitting around waiting to be able to actually use something. Left early, waste of £15 extra that you have to pay

Fabulous breakfast. Nice touch of complimentary water with squash sachets. Lovely big room and bathroom with separate bath and shower.

Think what I paid for the room the bed should have been updated as it was vey tatty and the room could have been a lot cleaner, as there was a lot of dust and fluff about.

Breakfast was a disaster. Due to the system they had, which will never work,as it had to be served in a certain order, otherwise they couldn’t cope and because of this we waited 45 mins. Each member of staff could only do the task appointed, so ordering extra anything. ie, coffee, toast etc. didn’t happen.

Dinner was very good.staff were very good. Accommodation was very clean with a good size room, overlooking the lake. Car parking was adequate, but steep hill for carrying luggage to and from room.

The upkeep of the rooms was a little lacking, some things were a bit dated, and the spa was a little small.

A lovely room with a stunning view over the reservoir made this last minute getaway very enjoyable. The staff are very polite, chatty and attentive and the good was of a very high standard. The spa is a nice addition and has incredible views.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. For instance the was a private balcony overlooking Lake Vyrnwy. The food and service in the restaurant were faultless and at all times my wife and I were treated as valued customers with a very friendly approach from every member of Staff who we met.

The rooms could do with a refresh - the shower in our room was not great. The service was sometimes a little slow but it was tricky as we were a bigger group - I did message the restaurant a few weeks prior about sorting out a cake but they had no record of this when we had dinner on the first night which was a shame.

We love this hotel - the food is really fantastic and the location is amazing. The staff were wonderful and happy to help, they also made my dad’s 60th special for him. We had a really great time and it was the best location in the evenings to spend time as a family and play cards.
