Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was perfect.
We had a wonderful stay! After long daytrips we were always looking forward to returning to our comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and hepful, we got a tranport box for my daughter's still drying pottery she made at Belladrum. The breakfast left no wishes unanswered. The room had more than enough electric sockets. The beds were very comfy, the bathroom was spacious and there were more than enough parking spaces on the grounds. In the evening we went for a walk and explored the beautiful Ness Islands. We will definetely be returning.

There was nothing amiss!
Everything was perfect. We couldn't be happier with our stay at Lochadril House Hotel. We already stayed 5 nights a few days before. We will definetely be returning!

Having to say what time breakfast in the morning
It was my birthday it would have been nice for the hotel to acknowledge it did send a message but nothing done. It was great catching up with relatives use to live in the area. The hotel was very good dog friendly. So ideal for us

I couldn't turn the temperature down in the shower. The water was a little too hot. I like a cold shower so I had to use the sink tap to cool down. I couldn't access the WiFi.

While it’s not far from Inverness you still need a car.
This is such a beautiful stay. We had been here the year before and loved it and we were very happy to return. The staff is so lovely and helpful. There are different areas to sit and chat over a drink and a large garden to walk around There is ample parking space if you arrive by car. The rooms are clean, spacious and airy. Breakfast is fantastic, both buffet-style and served. It is a very well-run hotel.

Fan in bathroom a little noisy

We really enjoyed the place even if we only spent one night. Wish we spent more nights. The staff was really friendly and allowed us to leave our car and trailer on the parking place during our NC500 trip. Very good breakfast. Room cosy and confortable.

On departure there was no staff available to help me down with my luggage. I have a heart problem and needed help, although I probably could have bumped it down the stairs, which wouldn't have done much for their carpet. In the end a very kind visitor helped.
The single room was small but had everything I needed - ideal for one or two nights. Great breakfast bar and hot breakfasts to order. Nice ambience in bar and lounge. Dinner good.

Nothing major, bit of dust on the light fitting in the room but that is all.
The hotel was lovely. The staff were polite, the food was good at the restaurant. I cant really fault the hotel and it was a leisurly 30 minute walk in to Inverness. Would stay here again if we were in the area
