Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaLockers were a bit fiddly and curtains would be a great addition to the dorm rooms.
Super social hostel with different day and night activities everyday and free veggie dinner!! It was so fun to get to explore London with a group of other solo travellers. All the staff are amazing, shoutout especially to Jacko for making me feel so welcome and always bringing the vibe!!! Can’t wait to come back some day

AustraliaThe beds need some work, a good pillow and a curtin would go a long way. The showers could also do with some attention. Hot water is fine but the drains are pretty clogged
The staff are all super helpful, Jack and Kate are legendary and make you feel right at home. It’s a special social hotel. With free dinners provided and events planned everyday there is very little you need to worry about. A stress free stay filled with good people.

GermanyFantastic! Meeting so many people across the world in such a short time, enjoying the events organised by the crew members(kudos to Asmaa, Brandon, Lucas, Ursina, Connie...)... It was simply amazing. No more words are needed. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone that looks for an experience like this.

AustraliaThat I had to leave
Onefam Waterloo was in a great location to easily navigate around London and see as much as I could in the short time I was there. Liked how everyone was involved and every day/night was such a vibe ! Will definitely be returning at some point.

FranceIn my many, many years of travelling solo in hostels, I have never been felt more welcome and safe than I did at OneFam. This hostel has everything you could possibly want and need and more. Daily walking tours, going from the royal monuments to the infamous Notting Hill filming locations, free (and delicious) vegetarian dinners daily, clean commodities and a true accessibility from a very respectful and friendly staff. There’s a wristband system in place so the hostel stays safe, and a group chat with daily updates and contacts in case you need to reach anyone. As an introvert, I was a bit scared about the party side of things, but as it turns out, the rooms are well isolated and the parties happen mainly in nearby pubs and bars so if that’s not your scene, don’t let that stop you from staying at OneFam cause you won’t be bothered at all. Commodity wise, there are several bathrooms and showers across the different floors and everything is kept very clean. There are plenty of lockers in the rooms, a common kitchen with everything you need to cook and store your food, and a common living room where you may end up watching movies or playing Mario Kart. There’s also a luggage room available on demand so you can store your bags before your check in or after your check out. All in all, OneFam lives by its name and makes you feel at home no matter where you’re from and I will very happily be back soon! Huge huge thank you to Jack and Made and Ursina and Connie and Chelsea and everyone else I may be forgetting. You made this experience even better than it already was!

United StatesNothing! Was perfect
Had an amazing time staying at Onefam Waterloo, the atmosphere, the events, the community, and the staff. Everything was organized and welcoming for a solo traveler to feel very welcomed and feel included. This was more than a hostel, it was a family. The staff were all so friendly too. Brandon, and Chelsea went above and beyond in making me and the others feel right at home while also being professional at their job.
