Total chaos when we arrived. Seemed to be no proper booking system, just printed off sheets with hand written room numbers. Person who met us on arrival was totally confused as to which room we were in. Took us to a room with someone else's things there, then marched us back downstairs before the owner arrived to sort the problem out. We were then left with the worry that the people that had a key to our room would turn up later, trying to get in. Fortunately this didn't happen. The room we booked was described as a family suite with a double bedded room and a single bedded room, what we got was two adjacent rooms on the top floor. This would be quite concerning for families with a young child. This needs to be made clear on booking.com. There is no sea view.

The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable.

So called family suite is on 2nd/ top floor. Blue stair carpet, though vacuumed, was black with ingrained dirt. We deliberately booked suite as opposed to a standard double as wanted the large double bed. However it was a standard double metal frame bed which creaked every time my husband rolled over. The suite is also a misnomer as it consists of bedroom 4, a standard en suite double and bedroom 5, a standard en suite single. There being only 2 of us, we did not use the single room. You wouldn't have wanted to put a child in there either as the room doors opened off the corridor; the rooms are only connected via the corridor! There was no fruit nor biscuits although we enjoyed the tea. I could not see the sea from the bedroom window despite it being advertised with seaview. We saw no one at the premises to pay. I had sent a message the day before to say we would be leaving early but received no reply. I would have paid the price of a simple double room if I had the choice. We did not receive the facilities advertised for the family suite. Very disappointing.

Entrance door a little sticky. Two flights of stairs to the room so you have be physically able to climb stairs. Room slightly small but cosy and comfortable.

Easy location to go out into town for food and drink. Well organised. Nice extras, kettle, plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits, air fan, mini fridge. Good shower. Plenty of towels.

The room was dirty, by any measure. Not what you would expect during a pandemic when you would hope that cleaning would be a priority. The shower in our room was also virtually unusable, as it had no shower curtain and there was limited headroom. The reception staff seemed to have no idea what was going on we were given the keys to two rooms on arrival.

Central location was convenient for local attractions.

well stocked tea tray with lots of decent biscuits and a couple of apples ,nice touch super clean bathrooms with good amount of toiletries great location whole premises crisp and clean, bright and airy, lovely. stayed before as couple, brought family along this time had 3 rooms, they loved it too. excellent value we will be back.

Very clean room, immaculate bathroom. Nice sized room - plenty of space. Enjoyed the fruit with the tea and coffee provided. Also, the complimentary soaps etc. Location (on the high Street) was very convenient.

There's nothing not to like

Great location at end of high street so convenient to get around Hythe. Under new owners since our last stay there but same high standards adhered to. Another bonus was the owners also have a restaurant in the high street, ThailandTom that you receive a 15% discount for staying in the B&B. We tried the restaurant on two nights and the food was excellent and authentic Thai.

Very comfortable, in town centre, but quiet location with car park round the corner and only ten minute walk to sea, everything we needed for our one night stay in Hythe.

I'm 6'3" so need to be able to hang my feet out of the end of the bed. This double had a bar which made it uncomfortable. Didn't expect the 'family suite' to be 2 seperate rooms. Our child is 4 years old so not ideal. No on site parking but a short walk to free parking by the canal.

Decor was great. Rooms great size, facilities clean and well finished. We really felt comfortable in the rooms. Great complimentary snacks - fruit and cookies plus tea and coffee. Location perfect, lovely views across roof tops, right on the high street.
