Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe only thing, what surprised me is that there were no dining facilities at the college. But the staff was very helpful to point me towards some restaurants, so in the end it was all good. Now I have a good understanding of the place, so I will align my expectations when I visit next time. I loved the atmosphere of the place. Staying in the modern wing of the college, with a view at the courtyard, I have enjoyed the tranquility of the place very much. The staff halped me out with my queries, they have also lent me a power outlet converter, so I was able to use my European and Australian electrical gears.

DenmarkThe bed is definitely comfortable for one person, but it was a bit cramped for the two of us - although expected for a student room and it wasn't a big issue at all for the few nights we stayed.
Beautiful accommodation and gardens, convenient yet quiet location, and helpful and friendly staff all around. Check-in and check-out were both easy, and staff agreed to store our luggage until it was time for us to get our train, which was very helpful as the station is a bit of a trek. Also - amazing coffee and veggie sausage rolls available from the on-site cafe, best enjoyed at the outside tables!

New ZealandThe only very minor issues are that the room does not have air conditioning or a television. However this was made clear at the time of booking, and I was comfortable enough with the window open and wifi for entertainment.
Excellent location, quiet and close to the city centre. Guests have access to the tranquil college gardens. The building was very new and clean. The porter's office is staffed 24 hours.

United KingdomA bedside lamp would have helped but it’s important that visitors read the instructions regarding the main light switch. I think the porters need to advise first time visitors about basics and to refer to the folder. I know it’s obvious but I’ve never encountered a light switch like that. Not all visitors read the manual. So just tell new visitors that the main light switch needs to be held down for a couple of seconds to switch it off or place a prominent sign somewhere within the room. Likewise just a quick flick to switch it back on. toilet light timeout is quite lengthy so wonder why? There is no air conditioning and it was quite humid when I stayed so maybe offer a fan?? i don’t have air conditioning in my own house so appreciate it’s not standard in the UK but in humid weather it would help. I stayed solo so kept the window open but think the room would need more ventilation for 2 people. No hairdryer and toiletries are limited - not a negative but best to bring your own supplies. once again porters could assist by having a checklist and advising new visitors accordingly - I just think the porters could offer a bit more to visitors than just booking them in and pointing out where the accommodation is. Just 2 minutes advising about FAQs.
location and peaceful sleep. loved having a fridge. room basic but very clean and serviced daily. plenty of sockets. wifi excellent. lovely grounds. in fact the grounds were accessible and very relaxing. felt very safe as a solo traveller and access to floors required by room card. Main bus stop only 5 minutes walk. porters desk 24/7. cafe being on site is a bonus.
