Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very tired decor. Huge crack in the sink in the bedroom. Faulty shower.
The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. Very clean. Great continental breakfast. Value for money.

The few problems were the same breakfast every day. It would be nice to have eggs scrambled, pouched, or fried rather than boiled every day. The rooms were a bit dated. The toilet was not nice I think it was the colours and the shower curtains needed to be replaced. The room was not cleaned during my stay of 7 nights, and I had to take down my own rubbish, . One of the windows was unable to close. A handy file of things to do or go in blackpool. I did feel rested and safe.
It was local to the sea, shops and very local to all facilities bus, tram and walking

The lock on the bedroom door was broken and didn't lock. Mayu did say we could leave any valuables with her when we went out but we didn't need to.(we took car keys, phones and wallets out with us anyway). She only realised the lock was broken when she cleaned the room before we arrived with it being late afternoon on a Friday and bank holiday weekend to boot she couldn't get it fixed while we were there.
Mayu was lovely and couldn't do enough for us, she made us feel so welcome. The continental breakfast was great to start the day.

Was abit far away from the town on foot. And parking around the area wasn't great.
Mayu was an exceptional host! She was just an absolute pleasure. Breakfast was more than I expected, there was more on offer than I thought there would be. Beds were comfortable and the room was a decent size for what I needed.

For the price I paid I was happy with what I got.
The room was clean, comfortable & had everything I needed. There was plenty of hot water & the shower worked well. Clean sheets, clean towels & the heating came on in the morning but the room was not too hot.

Not much to complain about really!! We paid 300 for 5 nights so we are NOT expecting luxury.The room was absolutely fine ,the bathroom a little small but that's just my own personal preference!! Beds were comfortable and we got a great sleep .It was clean and that's mainly what I look for.Oh my light wasn't working by the bed but I did forget to mention it (room 11) single bed I'm sure it would have been sorted.
Mayu the hostess made us feel very welcome from the start ,she went over and above board for us and is an absolute treasure .Breakfast was just enough ,you could have full English for extra but we didn't need it as there is more then enough for us for the free continental.Location is great ,about 27 min walk to the tower or tram 2 mins away.Mayu is just fantastic

Couple that argued throughout the night and then made up noise included.
Host was lovely. Area was not too near the strip which was great. Weather was great too for time of year.

Small shower, had to hold the shower head, hair dryer wouldn't sit on the stand not enough plug sockets, kettle stank of rotten water with green particles inside
The Scottish lady was so friendly,lovely to be around dead welcoming, the bed was amazing
