HEATING: The room was stifflingly hot when I arrived, I turned the radiator down, and had to shower twice while getting ready and open the window to let in the -2C air to make it bearable. It was still warm and stuffy when I came back later to sleep. However during the night I woke up freezing several times despite pjyamas, all the blankets, and eventually....my coat on top. So I didn't sleep very well. TV DECORATION ONLY: TV doesnt show any terrestrial channels and isn't smart for you to cast anything to it. Back of the remote control was missing. BATHROOM: Shower cubicle is quite a tight fit, and if you're going to offer soap dispensers, they should be refilled during the room clean instead of leaving so little in them that the pump cant dispense anything.

Bed was comfortable. Room and Bathroom were clean. Place to put bags as well as get ready. Nice basic tea and coffee facilities. All the essential parts of a room to sleep for the night and wash in the morning. I didn't mind the stairs, in fact it was nice to walk through the place and up that beautiful staircase to my room. Don't mind having an attic room, small and functional is fine, and there was a nice peephole view of a church spire from my window. I felt safe and able to relax there.

Advertised pool didn't exist. No lifts. No parking and the place advised was very expensive and poor. Unable to answer questions about alternative parking. Rececption staff had not much knowledge of the area (I knew more after 2 days than them about info that is usefull to guests). Clumsy wooden shutters instead of curtains. dangerous step up into the onsuite bathroom, especially for middle of the night

We had a used bloodstained left in our bathroom on arrival. Complained to reception but the operative didn't speak English and didn't seemed too concerned.

Location is central. Parking in the payable car parks can get busy.

I read up on the hotel before booking and there were a few people stated the hotel wasn't clean and made some complaints. When I arrived the hotel was clean and looked very nice There was a notice stating they were making renovation works though. Our rooms were clean and tidy but they weren't cleaned whilst we were there. Its also good to note there is a nightclub directly under the hotel so for people staying on the first floor at the front of the building like I was it's very noisy and you'll get no sleep as you can hear the music. Its alright if you stay during the week I'm sure though

The location for the hotel is ideal it's close to the train station and town just a few minutes walk from each which is perfect for first time travellers into bath The price was also ideal. For a weekend break for 4 was a good price for what we wanted cost just over £200 so can't grumble on the costs

No double glazing. Hotel was above a bar and night club and everything could be heard from all the smokers as the Sash windows were old and not double glazed. One didn't even have a lock on it. Shower bracket would not hold the shower head at the top, as someone who is six foot three I had to hold the shower head up to use the shower. Shower also threw water all over the floor, not just a little, but a lot. It took a number of towels to dry up. Decor very very dated. Passable, but for £75 a night I would have expected a lot more

The room is really small, room size did not match the room description at all. Need to climb up the stairs, no lifts and quite old-fashioned. Some facilities are broken and bad smell in the wardrobe so need to change room. Wasted a lot of time trying to get things sorted (including the light of the room, TV not working etc.) Breakfast was not provided even though we booked it. Be aware that there is a night club right next to the hotel but it was not too noisy.

Took 35mins to check in. No toilets to use in the main hotel while waiting. No heating in rooms. Just an electric heater which didn't keep the room warm. Rooms weren't cleaned properly.

Great location for exploring the city centre. Great value for money. Could leave the luggage in a safe room before and after check in.

Obviously the premises are in need of a major refurbishment. A night club next door generates noise to all hours of the morning but we asked for a quiet room and it was very peaceful.
