Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The directions on booking.com delivered us to the Queen's Gate Mews behind the property, not to the front door on Queen's Gate. The room had only one bedside lamp and no lamps in the living area - ceiling lamps only. The elevator machinery was next to our room - somewhat bothersome at nighttime.
Excellent location in South Kensington, a variety of restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood, reasonably close to the underground, well-equipped room with kitchen and washer/dryer. Friendly and helpful concierge.

Windows were dirty, furniture was little bit worn out.
Perfect location, just next to Hyde Park. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Appartment was spacious and there was lots of natural light. Super comfortable bed and pillows.

There were just two things that were over looked, which would have been caught in a quick flat check before guests arrived. 1. The heat had not been turned up so the flat was quite cold. If guests are expected, it would be good to turn up the heat prior to check in. The English radiators took awhile to warm the place. 2. There was no TV remote, which should have been checked. The staff fixed it the next day.
The staff were cheerful and helpful and very responsive. The flat was clean and huge and the location is awesome. Just two blocks from Kensington Gardens and the Royal Albert Hall. The Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube stops are an easy 8-10 minute walk away. There are lots of restaurants, an excellent pub, The Queens Arms, and a Waitrose grocery store close by. We would stay here again.

My only complaint is the last night of my stay, there was alot of stomping coming from the flat above. I wish it was a bit quieter
We loved the location. Easy walk to the train station and to good food. Neighborhood was safe and very nice. flat was very nice, comfortable and clean.

I was happy with everything
Primary reason for travel was an event at Albert Hall and the property was perfect for that. Had all the amenities we needed for a 3 night stay. Reasonably close to tube stations. Nice location. Felt safe walking around there. Plenty of places to eat and drink within short walking distance. Always someone on reception too. Very clean.

Noise from appartement above , due to wooden Floors and loud guests it was pretty hard. When you book ask for the upper appartement.

The price!

The apartment we got, #8 was below ground, and on the street, so it was very noisy at night. We were gone all day, so that wasn't a problem. Also, we could hear the people above us moving furniture and talking, throughout our stay. Also, this apartment was in a very nice area, but, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the closest tube station, which was very inconvenient! I really wish I had known that before I booked, as I would have chose another place. It would have been horrible if it was cold and rainy, typical London weather.
The apartment was very spacious and clean. It was nice having a kitchen, and Anka, the manager was extremely nice and accommodating.

The lack of light, our apartment was lower ground floor and it had a window looking into the middle of the building and was very very dark. The noise. There were co start footsteps from above until about 2am and the lift next to us started at 5 so we did not sleep well.
The apartment was very clean and spacious. It had everything you need.

The decor was very minimalist. I would have liked something a little more charming.
The unit was clean and close to Imperial College, it is a little far to walk to the underground. The kitchen appliances were new. We were able to store our luggage when we arrived early.
