The food wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as flavourful as I'd expected. Equally it wouldn't stop me trying another dish, it might just have been the risotto. It was extremely busy in the restaurant/bar and a group took over the space next to me which meant people going to the toilet had to squeeze past. Not ideal! But it was a nod to its popularity!

South Causey Inn was really quirky and full of personality. The staff were brilliant, and really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was a great size and really comfortable.

Disaster at transporting my daughter in her wedding dress. The safety precautions, if any, were not enforced. Her dress was outside of the golf cart when it set off dragging my daughter, if not for her new husband holding onto her, out of the cart. As it was only her wedding dress was damaged and not my daughter though it was painful as the dress tore off her.

An eclectic property in a lovely setting. Really friendly and helpful staff. Even if you're not staying, I would recommend coming just for the carvery. Our room was spacious and spotless. There was a generous supply of complimentary tea and coffee and the cookies were amazing! A very relaxed atmosphere. Already looking forward to our next visit.

The only thing that let this whole experience down was the morning breakfast. It was apauling. Unfortunately, I will not sugarcoat that. Breakfast was delivered to our room 08.45 as what we opted for, it was on time. See photo for that one. Not sure what the knives and forks were supposed to be for. But hey we checked out and went elswhere for breakfast.

Stay was almost 5 star for me. The room was as expected really very lovely. We had the american trilogy with hot tub for our wedding anniversary. Theme was great lots of different american history memorabilia around, very quirky and fun but at the same time still having a bit of luxurious feel to it. Compliments from hotel 2x bottle peroni, 2x bottle water, 2 bags of crisps and a small milk. Some chocolate on arrival with a hand written card from staff wishing a happy anniversary. The hot tub was absolutely amazing 39 degrees (adjustable). We really had an amazing night! Would highly recommend and would for sure return and try out a different room. We had an evening meal which i couldn't fault it was great. Really lovely food. All staff were great during and staff and the welcome was exceptional.

Everything! Watching tv in a jacuzzi bath was brilliant. It was my birthday and the staff arranged flowers, drinks, a picnic basket and rose petals on the bed. They even left a card from them. The hot tub is the icing on the cake!
