Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was no lift which may be a problem for those not so good with stairs but it did not deter us. There are rooms on the ground floors if that was an issue ( don’t let that put you off!)
The hotel was clean and located in a great location for museums, Covent Garden, theatres, etc. Near an underground station and lots of buses. The staff were very friendly, helpful and obliging. The breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. We left our luggage with the hotel after checking out and returned later in the afternoon to collect, rather than trudging round London with suitcases all day! Would definitely go stay there again. Good price with breakfast in a good location. Bed comfortable and pillows not too hard. Lots of lovely coffee shops, restaurants and local shops around too.

1 - The carpet didn't feel very clean. 2 - The hotel included breakfast but the service at the breakfast was not good. The wait was extremely long and the breads were really burnt. Overall lack of attention to detail.
1 - The location was very convenient. Lots of stores around and also walkable to the Underground. It was also close to some major attractions, and I like that it was around university area. 2 - The room was considered spacious for the standard of London city center, however because the room was in a strange shape, we actually did not have adequate space to open up all our luggage.

The only tiny bad point was how hot the breakfast room was even though it wasnt very hot outside.
Really nice hotel from the first minute we arrived. Really friendly greeting and the room was super clean with a huge bed! Everything seem very modern but with nice antique bedroom furniture. Bathroom was clean with a spacious shower. The breakfast was cooked fresh and very tasty. Continental breakfast also offered and looked great with buffet options also available. Location is great being close to Soho and other areas.

The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The tv had no picture and there was a huge crack in the closet mirror. Breakfast was a disappointment especially after reading some other reviews, and having decent expectations.
Great location, several underground stations nearby, and easy to walk to many locations.

Bit noisy on the main road
Lovely property. Booked last minute and was a great price including breakfast. The lady on reception gave me a friendly welcome and wished me well when I left. Amazing it had air conditioning with the very hot weather. Breakfast omelette was delicious

There is no elevator, so carrying a 23kg suitcase up to the third floor was quite a challenge—but the staff were helpful. There was also a slight musty smell from the (all four) pillows...
Great location and excellent made-to-order breakfast. The staff are friendly, and the room is clean and secure.

My only criticism is the build up of limescale on the rain shower head.
Room was on the first floor, which was fine. Location was excellent, very central for everything. Breakfast was delicious, very good quality full English and not greasy at all. Highly recommended.
