There was air conditioning in the room, but even on the lowest temperature and highest fan speed it didn't seem to do a lot to cool it down. I was there in March/April so I'd be concerned about this in the summer! It would also have been nice to have had another armchair; I was fine when it was just me, but when my partner came to visit we had to trade off which one of us ate meals on the floor! Also, the table was quite small and not suitable as a workstation. The sink was awkwardly positioned in the corner of the kitchen, tucked back and slightly high up, which made washing-up challenging. The guest welcome pack said that studios would have either a separate freezer or a freezer compartment in the fridge, but this didn't seem to be the case in my room.

The property is in an absolutely fantastic location, in the heart of Bloomsbury and super close to Euston and Kings Cross, but set back in a quiet street that never felt busy or noisy. There are plenty of independent shops (including Gay's the Word bookshop) and restaurants around the corner on Marchmont Street, as well as a big Waitrose and other shopping/dining at the Brunswick Centre down the road. I was working at the Wellcome Collection and it was an easy 15-minute walk from the studios and back each day. Having weekly maid service was a huge bonus which I really appreciated! I stayed for 4 weeks and it was a massive help. The studio also had a ton of storage (shelves, wardrobes, drawers, closet) which was unexpected but welcome. The studios are very basic but clean, private, and comfortable.

The bed was very soft and the TV is positioned low down which makes it uncomfortable to watch when sat on the bed.

The street is very quiet and you can't hear anything from the main road. The room has everything you need and includes plates and cutlery. It's less than a ten minute walk to Kings Cross/St Pancras which is very helpful.

Everything is dated and the decor is not as nice as the photos suggest but overall it was comfortable enough and clean, the building structure looks like it needs some attendance, and I feared the stairs to the rooms were close to breaking.

We received fresh towels on our last morning and they had an odor about them. No face cloths available and a soap dish in the shower stall would be handy.

It was not a problem for us, but it should be noted that there is no lift, which can be a problem with a lot of luggage and a room on a higher floor. Also, the room is extremely small and would not accommodate a large suitcase

Great location, near Euston train and metro station, close to British museum and 45-50 min walk from Big Ben. Very, very communicative location. Quiet quarter, close to different restaurants and cafes. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Will definitely stay here again

My room was located on the third floor without an elevator which surprised me on arrival. Having to shlep a suitcase by myself on very steep stairs wasn't great... Also I was OK with the size of the bathroom and room as I was by myself. Had I been accompanied by my son or partner it wouldn't have worked so well: the room is small and the shower was narrow even for me and I am not considered a big woman at all. At least it was clean and worked well, but if your sizes are over the average take it into consideration.

excellent location! It's near the train station to get from the airport and close to many buses. just across from the national library which I found marvelous. I could get everywhere I wanted to easily by foot or by public transportation any time of the day, and felt very safe which was very important to me as a solo traveler. The small kitchen was a plus and I also liked the tavern around the corner, which was very convenient for dinner after a long days walking. Overall a very good place to stay in provided you can take the stairs and can manage with a very tight place.

Room was a little 'tired' in its decor. There were some small niggles e.g., the position of the sink, the tight access to the shower. There were a lot of stairs to climb!

Great location. Lovely staff. Facilities were adequate and it was clean. We were top floor, so no real issues with noise. It was good value considering its location, and being in London. Situation was nice- 2 windows with view of park like area over the road.

As I have a mobility issue, I found the stairs a challenge with a suitcase but there's not much that can be done to solve that.

I liked that key pick up was easy. The room was a good size for 1 person and the little kitchen was excellent. I liked the appearance of the whole crescent of buildings and the Cartwright gardens opposite were a city centre oasis of calm right there and accessible. The location was perfect for the British library and various museums I wanted to visit as well as being super convenient for public transport.

The idea of leaving suitcases so you could walk around London was great, we did this. However, it would have been nice to have a room to put them in so they didn't clog up the reception area and for security reasons.

Watch out : no lifts. Stairs on higher floor narrow and difficult to negotiate with luggage. Unfortunately shower in our room did not work properly and only very hot water available. Also the vent in the bathroom was on for a very long time before switching off, which made it a little unpleasant at night. Bed / matrass very soft.

Early check-in, confortable, clean room on high floor as requested. Helpful reception staff. It was possible to leave luggage between check out and departure.

The demands from travellers have increased when it comes to quality of bed/mattress in recent years. Needs improvement here. Similarly priced accommodation from large hotel chains is so much better in this respect

Very well located for train stations and the setting is ideal - a classic Georgian crescent - and having a studio at the back meant a very peaceful, quiet night. Helpful staff and pleasant atmosphere

The woman (dark hair, looked and sounded exhausted, with Romanian or similar accent at Front Desk was an absolute nightmare! Everything seemed to be a massive bother to her! Very unorganised, looked either clinically depressed or massively hungover, and flat out refused to order us a taxi before check-out claiming she was "too busy and alone on the desk". Absolutely the worst treatment I've ever experienced at a property of this type! Side note: when I came to reception to ask a question about the heat, the young (East Indian?) fellow was absolutely wonderful in stark contrast to the woman.

Location was fantastic. Large bright windows (because we had a street facing room). Kitchenette was well laid out and very useful. Thoughtful touches like hairdryer and shower cap. Great neighbourhood and lovely old building.
