Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing, we will definitely use this hotel again for a stop over
This is a good value place to stay for a night when passing through Glasgow. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The hotel all felt very tidy and fresh inside and out. The rooms were small but nicely decorated and perfect for one night. We enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant. I had a nice steak pie and mash and my husband liked his chicken curry. A great cooked breakfast was also included which you can have anytime up to 11.00, so really flexible. We liked that we could check out at 10, then have a late breakfast! Before breakfast we did a lovely little walk on paths down to the river, then back round through Livingston Park, which is worth a visit! There is a museum there but it was closed when we passed through. There is also a nice bar with great value drinks.

United KingdomEverything. Room was beautiful, clean. Plenty of towels in a wee basket. Shower room was amazing. 4 poster bed beautiful too but the best part were the smiling, helpful staff. Has a lovely outdoor bit too. Sat outside in the sunshine until 8ish.

United Kingdom1. Should have a self serve breakfast cereal table, and a self serve toast facility. 2. The bathroom sink in room 5 is a major design fault, its tiny and occupies a miniscule corner within an otherwise clean functional bathroom.
Good wholesome cooked breakfast.

United KingdomThe room was quite small but for a one night stay it was ok and the decor on the staircase was very dark
This hotel was very comfortable, it only had 5 rooms so it was also very quiet. The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home, the food was also good value, we ate from the 2 for 1 menu.

United Kingdomcheck in is slow and difficult as you have to queue up with diners awaiting their tables and its hard carrying bags through a busy restaurant. you should consider a different way of handling that.
staff great, evening meal average, breakfast great!

United KingdomThe room was fine but none of the pictures via Booking.com matched what I got. I saw certain types of beds online and not one picture showed the one I got. It had a much larger headboard and was actually quite nice but it was an interesting aspect that I didn't get a room that was even in one picture. I can only assume beds have been changed recently. Hot shower in room 5 kept alternating from warm to cold while in use. Not sure why but it made a shower a rather less comfy experience. The bedroom was quite big but the bathroom was tiny. But that's not a complaint to mark down the hotel. Cleaning staff wanted to come in our room at 10am, rather than our actual check out time of 10.30am. So bear that in mind if you stay here. They may prompt you a little early. Room 5 that faces the street doesn't seem to keep a lot of noise out. So just keep it in mind if you are very distracted trying to sleep. Around 7am I could hear heavy noise from the traffic on a Monday. Around midnight it was mostly quiet. Just small, picky things. Otherwise it was a pretty well run place for most of it. Just a few things were of not. For the record. I'm rating this between 8 and 9. Rather than a solid 9. But the above doesn't give an option for that, so I figured I'd be generous due to still enjoying my stay.
Room was comfy and had a reasonable bit of space to it. Early 2pm check in was nice and I enjoyed the breakfast options. The overall I door side of the place was tidy and comfy, right up to the room. The place was definitely clean. Greeting staff were pretty much on the ball. View of the street was nice, via a large enough window and window ledge. The assortment of teas were Twinings and Nescafé, along with a hot chocolate sachet. The lighting was good in the room. You have standard ceiling lights that are sunk in, along with 2 different lights at either side of the headboard and one light separately that fills the room from behind the headboard itself. The carpet was standard but still comfy on your feet. Ironing boards are present but you'll find them in the landing between the rooms. Hair dryer is present, as is coat storage space. Can't complain too much about the place. Most things were spot on or pretty solid at least. Any complaints are minor, but do keep them in mind. I'd say that it's worth giving it a shot if you need to be in the area. You can also visit just for food options that seemed pretty solid anyway.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything about the place that we didn't like.
The venue was lovely and a place I had visited before. We were also given an early check-in which we very much appreciated as we had stayed in the sister hotel The Angel the evening before.

United KingdomThe bathroom sink, although stylish and clean, was just a little smaller than I am used to. But that is me being very picky as the décor was indeed outstanding.
There is nothing not to like, the premises was easily found with good parking facilities and the welcome from manageress and team was exceptional and was refreshing to have positive friendly faces despite being busy with an excellent restaurant. The booking in was efficient and informative, and the room was extremely well furnished with excellent décor throughout and was very comfortable. Also it has easy access to Wi-Fi and good facilities for drinks in the room and bathroom to freshen up after a journey. Comfortable bed with fresh-smelling linen that was both welcoming and comforting. The food is outstanding, and my breakfast was the best I have had in months. hats off to the team and chef - I will be returning at my first opportunity
