Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The only thing I might personally change (which would be very easy to do) would be to have some decaf tea/coffee options in the bedrooms. I should also note that very light sleepers, ear plugs are fairly essential as the walls are quite thin.
This is the kind of inn where you get what you pay for. It's very cheap and affordable, with a continental breakfast included, but the rooms are also quite basic, so don't come looking for 5* luxury. However, if you're looking for a cheap stay where you're planning to be out all day it's a perfectly nice place to stay. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Overall, great value for money and perfect for what we were looking for.

Water pressure in the shower was very low but could be a local area issue?
Lots of free parking, close to shopping area. Food was exceptional as was the service. Ironing board in the lowest cost option room was nice to see.

It was on a main road so a bit noisy but not a major deal.
I was attending an event at Ritland Water around which accommodation is very posh. This hotel was 20 mins away, the room was pleasant and good value and clean, the food in the pub was descent pub grub with great chips and descent cold breakfast with plenty of choice. Not a hotel for a special weekend away but for a good functional stay it was excellent, good value and the staff were very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of parking.

Superb staff. Helpful, friendly, welcoming. Location - very good. Excellent continental breakfast - superb coffee, best I've tasted in a hotel for a long time. Good value meals.

Room keys are a tiny fob on key ring and numerous people were locking themselves out through the night but again not the be all and end all I would stay here again.
Stayed here for 1 night while travelling with work, nice and quiet pub downstairs rooms upstairs, food was nice and fast for dinner no complaints, breakfast was basic toast, fruit or cerise bars, however not the be all and end all.

i had to bring to the attention of the day manager that a member of staff on the previous evening was using foul language and that i found it totally acceptable and she agreed
all the staff were very attentive to the needs of guests very pleasant meal prices were very good and the food was very good

Broken fixtures, only one bath towel in the room and in the shared bathroom, the shower drain was blocked and there also was no body wash or shampoo dispensers
