Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaRooms could do with a basic clean/service after 4 days. 8 days was a little too long.
The quieter, convenient location with buses, coffee shops and Sainsbury's all close by. The ease of a full studio with cooking and washing facilities, most welcome after a few weeks of travel.

United Kingdom£15 parking seemed steep. There should be offers for people staying over 7 nights
Great staff during night shift especially. Helpful. Clean. Dimmed lighting and a chilled sophisticated setting. Great pillows. Fully kitted studio with iron, hairdryer, kitchen with all the necessities. Smart tv, with apps and chromecast if you want to stream off your phone. Nice bathroom with plenty of towels. High quality toiletries. Nice location with sainsburys and cafes next door. Plenty of street parking that are free in the evenings and overnight and have 4 hour max pay and display per bay/ location ID.

United KingdomWe were a little disappointed at the 'hidden costs' that were not so obvious during the booking process. We booked thinking that was our final cost, only to find out the 'Private Parking' (£15) and 'Dog Friendly' (£40) costs had not been generated on the original booking and were added on top. We were informed of the £40 dog charge on the morning of our stay which was not ideal for budgeting, however this was reduced to £25 without the 'Woof! Package'. I would argue this is 'Dog Tolerant' as opposed to 'Dog Friendly' if costs are incurred by bringing our dog.
The location was great, quiet, well-lit and I felt comfortable walking around in the area. It was a 10-minute drive into the city or a 40-minute walk. The apartment was clean and well equipped, there was nothing we needed that we didn't have. Comfortable mattress but soft pillows, great bathroom and sleek lighting. Nice bright space with a large window in the sitting area and a good enough living space for the duration of our stay. Minimal noise which was good for leaving our dog for a few hours. The staff were also very knowledgeable about the area with regards to directions, recommendations of parking, etc. and were very friendly throughout our stay.

United KingdomEn suite in main bedroom constantly very wet - water didn’t drain away. This was reported at reception. Very slow service at dinner in restaurant.
Beautiful decor. Suited our needs. Everything and more was provided. Wonderful books to peruse. Plenty of space for us all to meet in the larger suite. Handy for our trips into Cambridge. Great coffee shop and restaurant on site. Breakfast excellent.

United KingdomPreviously I have brought a dog but the price point is now prohibitive at £40/dog per visit regardless of the length of visit. Minor issue with bathroom light flickering and I struggled to completely close the window but suspect that was just me. But look forward to the next time staying.
Great stay - this is my third time visiting. The ability to add options after booking was better than before. A smart new building - clean facilities. Spacious accommodation with convenient parking and shops nearby - welcoming staff.

United KingdomThey have a big problem - PARKING. There is limited underground parking. On arrival I was told the option was to park my car half a mile away in the city’s ’Park and ride’. There, parking is limited to 18 hours, or you are towed away. The other option was already taken - £15 a day. So, first morning I got very wet. I stayed another 8 days, adding £120 to the bill.
It was a very well equipped room and comfortable stay. Self-catering in a hotel environment. It’s all new build round here but coffee shops are buzzing and the restaurant attached, the Astronomer, is great. It provides the option of a bar or a meal.
