Food at dinner was disappointing. Several items seemed to be re-heated or not made from scratch, and the food was generally poorly seasoned and bland. The sticky toffee pudding in particular was very poor. Helensburgh (30 minutes away) has much better options.

The room was generously proportioned, very light and airy, had modern furnishings, and was quiet and extremely comfortable. The bathroom in particular was excellent.

The Village Inn was warm and very welcoming. Wonderful loch views and walks. The staff were friendly, helpful and fun. The decor was very comfortable with a lovely Scottish contemporary style. The room was very comfortable. Breakfasts were fantastic and the dinner (in the pub part - as we had a dog) was very good, although a little expensive. The bar had a wonderful atmosphere and we had a fun evening with some locals and hotel guests!

V noisy but this was because they were so busy and it is an Inn. Quiet in the bedroom though.

Staff helpful, courteous, efficient and friendly. Room v good despite lack of view.

The bed was hard but the pillows were worse! Very hard and uncomfortable. Really need to look at the pillows and maybe get the manager to spend several nights using the bed with the pillows to get a feel of the discomfort.

Staff attitude, very friendly and helpful. The building is lovely and the setting superb.

We had dinner and breakfast there. Food was regular, simple, country pub options, hearty fish n chips and a filling breakfast. The proprietors are active, husband and wife are front of house and chef - friendly and welcoming. Try to get a room overlooking the Loch. It's magical, waking up, opening the curtains and seeing that view! The Cobbler is worth a climb too

The only issue was that the inside bar area was very small. If you just wanted a drink instead there was never any seats available.

Location was perfect. Sun came out and we were able to enjoy a drink looking out on the stunning view. Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and professional.

Just wish the double bed was a bit bigger and would have liked a couple of continental options at breakfast with the tea and coffee e.g. fruit and pastries.

Lovely room, great location for walking and a nice restaurant serving delicious food.

Limited storage/wardrobe space in our room (9). Fine for an overnight, but maybe not ideal for a longer stay if you like to get unpacked. Plumbing was a bit noisy whenever our room or another room ran water, but not too intrusive. Minor quibbles for what was a good place to stay.

Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent dinner menu and the food was very good. Fine selection of cask beers. Good value too. Cooked breakfast was also good, but no cereal or fruit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, very pleased with our stay.
