Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I knew it was going to be very simple however did t realise it would be a dark box with a mattress and nothing else. I understand the concept and we literally only booked somewhere to lay our heads down for the night so it was perfect, but wouldnt have wanted to stay longer with how basic it was. The no windows made it really hard to judge the time.
We had to book this last minute after a late cancellation of another property. This was a little further out so required a Uber from New Cross to get there instead. I knew it was a basic concept room and knew it was brand new which it lived up to. Good clean rooms with very comfy bed & linen and a nice bathroom. Staff were extremely friendly checking us in and out. Complimentary toiletries were lovely.

The room is comfortable and clean, but it lacks amenities like a kettle or hair dryer and a desk.
I think the location is great; there are several shops nearby. Also, it is close to Deptford and Greenwich Station.

We were in a cocoon room (134) and it was so small, shocked us upon arrival didn’t realise they were going to be that small. Nowhere to put any of our bags, had to stand/sit on the bed to get ready.
Clean, simple and good location for O2 arena London. Would use just for sleeping.

Two single mattress placed together to create a double bed . The mattresses kept splitting into 2 . I know it's economical for the hotel, but it's discomfort for the customer.

Mattress doesn't even have a bedframe, just on the floor. AC was incredible loud. Waste water from other rooms was very loud.

I would’ve liked some complementary water, maybe a chair in the room and some coat hangers/somewhere to put my clothes.
Everything is very utilitarian but with an upmarket feel. Immaculately clean, easy to check in and out and the staff were very friendly.

The rooms had no windows and toiletries (like toothpaste, toothbrush, etc). I like the idea that they promoted it as a good way to sleep since you will be inside a room with no windows so we had a good night's rest. It just felt like paying extra for a hair dryer AND if we wanted to store our luggage was too much. The cost would end up the same as any other budget hotel WITH windows in their rooms if so.
The rooms were small but well maintained. For a budget overnight stay it was good. Very clean. The lobby was nice and the staff were very attentive.

Room layout, bed, bathroom just grr we break set up not for me as a seasoned traveller but it will work for others.

Upon entering at 11:45pm, we were confronted by a security guard who seemed a little aprehensive about guests arriving at this time. There was clear lack of amenities, £15 for using a cloakroom, no breakfast facilities, no TV in the rooms, no windows either. Bed also only had one pillow per person.
It was clean upon entering, modern and quiet.

there are no windows, they don't have a refrigerator, they don't have a restaurant downstairs, you have to wear slippers from home, the bathroom is very cold, they don't have a fan in the bathroom. but the excellent price for a quick trip and to eat in the city.

The fact that there is no window might be a bit annoying, the door between the bathroom and the bedroom is definitely a lack of privacy and might be improved…
Great location in Greenwich area. The reception team was really helpful. That was nice and I had a relaxing stay in the hotel.

Room was very cold and the shower was shockingly cold. Told reception and next day the water was slightly warm. I was constantly very cold. Would not stay in such a cold place again.

Was unclear when booking there there are no windows. The bed was not a double it was two single mattresses which was not comfortable. Also no where to put your clothes or any other items

Rooms very small, no bin, table or phone reception. However it was very clean and tidy so can’t complain.
The staff were the kindest, shoutout to Anna she was very helpful because booking.com said I can check in earlier but that wasn’t the case. She handled the situation with so much grace and I am thankful. Jose allowed me to use his charger when I needed one as well, great customer service overall.
