Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The surrounding area isn’t amazing but that’s just Athens. The hotel itself is central to the sights and is extremely clean and well kept.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They were always present and helped answer our questions. They even gave us restaurant recommendations.

Brilliant location. Just a few minutes walk to the 'hot spots' but located in a calm and quiet street. Great staff - very helpful and knowledgable. The room was great, comfortable beds and a/c which was very welcome. Breakfast was good with a proper selection - very much what you expect for the international clientele. Would definitely use this hotel again.

TV reception not very good and no conditioner supplied in the bathroom.
Great breakfast. A good variety of food. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was great. Good food with an amazing view. All staff were very helpful and polite.

No drying rack for clothes. Restaurant was very busy when I visited & seemed short staffed, nobody noticed me for 15 minutes. The bartender was nice and noticed me and asked other staff to assist me
Good location walking distance from Acropolis. Can view Acropolis from the restaurant, unfortunately there is a big crane on the view as well. Staff is very nice and helpful. Nice bathroom. Free welcome drink

The only lift in the property was very small Two people plus luggage was possible but a squeeze
Very convenient for acropolis. Close to plenty of food options. And an easy walk to all the downtown tourist locations

The location was fantastic for a first visit to Athens as it was in a great neighborhood and we could easily discover Athens on foot from this location. The front desk staff was very professional and friendly. The person on during our stay was so helpful in answering our questions about the city and giving us suggestions of places to visit and where to eat. I attribute some of the wonder of our first days in Greece to his good advice.

A huge thank you to Theodore, the concierge at Acropolis Hotel Select. My wife and I only had one night in Athens before flying home after coming in from the islands, and Theodore made what could have been a stressful, rushed stay feel genuinely welcoming. We checked in late and had to check out very early to catch our flight, and he handled all of it with patience and care. He organised our airport transfer, made sure we had everything we needed, and even packed us breakfast as a gift so we wouldn't leave hungry. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. Theodore is patient, understanding, and the kind of person who goes above and beyond without being asked. A genuinely kind man and a real asset to the hotel. Thank you, Theodore, for making us feel so welcome and looked after. 10/10 service.

We had a wonderful stay in Athens. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet area. The food was delicious, and there was a wide variety of meals to choose from every day. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful during our entire 7-day stay, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The location was excellent, very close to the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis itself. Metro and bus stations were also nearby, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens.

Very very comfortable. Excellent bed! an XL bathroom as well! Top floor restaurant has beautiful view on Acropolis In a walking distance you can find good spot for excellent meal. I found that prices are affordable and you get what you pay.

It would be nice to have a bit more variety in the breakfast selection.
The hotel has a great location, close to the Acropolis Museum, with many good restaurants within walking distance. The breakfasts were quite good, although they did not change at all during our three-day stay. A pleasant surprise was the voucher for a drink at the rooftop bar.
