Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe surrounding area isn’t amazing but that’s just Athens. The hotel itself is central to the sights and is extremely clean and well kept.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They were always present and helped answer our questions. They even gave us restaurant recommendations.

United KingdomBrilliant location. Just a few minutes walk to the 'hot spots' but located in a calm and quiet street. Great staff - very helpful and knowledgable. The room was great, comfortable beds and a/c which was very welcome. Breakfast was good with a proper selection - very much what you expect for the international clientele. Would definitely use this hotel again.

United StatesThe location was fantastic for a first visit to Athens as it was in a great neighborhood and we could easily discover Athens on foot from this location. The front desk staff was very professional and friendly. The person on during our stay was so helpful in answering our questions about the city and giving us suggestions of places to visit and where to eat. I attribute some of the wonder of our first days in Greece to his good advice.

AustraliaA huge thank you to Theodore, the concierge at Acropolis Hotel Select. My wife and I only had one night in Athens before flying home after coming in from the islands, and Theodore made what could have been a stressful, rushed stay feel genuinely welcoming. We checked in late and had to check out very early to catch our flight, and he handled all of it with patience and care. He organised our airport transfer, made sure we had everything we needed, and even packed us breakfast as a gift so we wouldn't leave hungry. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. Theodore is patient, understanding, and the kind of person who goes above and beyond without being asked. A genuinely kind man and a real asset to the hotel. Thank you, Theodore, for making us feel so welcome and looked after. 10/10 service.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWe had a wonderful stay in Athens. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet area. The food was delicious, and there was a wide variety of meals to choose from every day. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful during our entire 7-day stay, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The location was excellent, very close to the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis itself. Metro and bus stations were also nearby, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens.

IsraelIt would be nice to have a bit more variety in the breakfast selection.
The hotel has a great location, close to the Acropolis Museum, with many good restaurants within walking distance. The breakfasts were quite good, although they did not change at all during our three-day stay. A pleasant surprise was the voucher for a drink at the rooftop bar.
