Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt’s a short walk to the main town, which some may not like. But it’s easy to walk, or a short taxi or drive.
Really beautifully presented. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Really lovely owner.

MexicoThere is very little space for hanging clothes and no drawers (but we kept things in the suitcase and it was fine). The room would benefit from mosquito screens in the balcony and in the bathroom. Early one morning, we killed 7 mosquitos in the half hour after sunrise!
Everybody at the Alemar was very friendly and helpful. The room had a beautiful view to the sea, and was not only comfortable but had everything we needed. The breakfast offered a variety of choices and was both very complete and cooked to order. The bathroom was also impeccable. Beautiful, large balcony with chairs and a table. Also, beach lounge chairs and umbrellas in the beach just a few steps from the hotel.

Good size, comfortable, very clean and nice views. The man looking after us was really good, genuinely looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble. Always had a smile on his face despite being a busy looking after us and the services to beach goers. The beach area was very good with no fees.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing, it was genuinely perfect.
It was a perfect in all aspects. A wonderfully run family business, with the owner who was a lovely gentleman. His daughter and son ensured that nothing was too much trouble and catered for our every need. It was perfectly located 10 minutes walk from Tinos town. The apartments were immaculately set out and finished to a high standard and a credit to the owners. There is a beach directly in front of the property with beach service, including drinks and food. If a resident then the sunbeds were free to use.

GreeceI tried a lot to find something to write here, but I could not......... :)
Everything was great. The room, the service, the umbrella sets at the beach and the service there, the whole sense of hospitality (original, not pretentious). Breakfast was also very good and with almost no time limit (!) Alexandros and Marlena, two young people with a lot of drive for their work, will offer you a memorable stay ! So, please do not go there, because it usually is full, and we would like to go again in the near future..... :)

Incredibly clean, peaceful, and lovely inn about a 20 minute walk outside Tinos town. The family who owns it is so kind, and it is easy to relax there. The upstairs rooms are smaller but have excellent ocean views. The included breakfast is delicious. We woke up early just to make sure we made it in time for breakfast. 10/10 stay and would absolutely return again.

United StatesThat I didn't get to stay longer. There's not even a negative I can pretend to come up with!
What an amazing place to stay. The staff (aka the family) are fantastic, extremely helpful, the breakfast is fantastic, the location is fantastic, the rooms are great and the location of the hotel is great too. It's away from the main tinos town but is also only a 20 or so minute walk there. They helped with some of our last minute needs and were just a joy to be around overall

CanadaThe property is not a hotel as much as it is a condo hotel, operated and serviced by a family with roots in Tinos. You won't find a front desk or bell hops to help you with your luggage. But what you will find is a delightful place to spend your time on Tinos, right across from the beach. Think of it more as a rented apartment, but with the key hotel services like housekeeping and food & drink. The room I stayed in was spacious, with a comfy bed, and a generously sized bathroom for Greek island standards. I was on the upper level, with a direct view of the beach and sea. On the ground level, the rooms were enormous, with separate bedroom and living areas, separated by a small kitchen. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels offered daily, and with the sheets changed once during my four night stay. Across the road, right on the beach, is a pergola protected from the wind where you can get breakfast in the morning and light food and drinks through the day. Loungers are available on the beach and you can get food and drink right on the beach, as well. The breakfast is included in the price of your accommodation. While there are only about 7 menu items for breakfast, each item is delicious and was accompanied by fresh orange juice, your selection of various coffees (multiple freddo espressos for me), and a complementary slice of cake, spanakopita and lovely sliced bread with various spreads. I kept going back for the Strapatsada, the scrambled eggs with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil - so good. The breakfast was an absolute delight, especially served sea side in the property's pergola on the beach. There are towels in the room for use at the beach. A small cafe ground level offers light fare through the day. And the property is just a 5 minute drive from town and the port. Also on the beach just down from the hotel are several other beach bars. Alex and his family/team were great hosts.
