Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe didn't realise how infrequently the buses ran on the island (2-3 buses a day). We'd planned to catch a bus, but ended up renting a car.
This is a beautifully outdated hotel. Friendly owner. Right on the beach, the rooms have great views and balconies. Great breakfast every morning. Short little walk into town. Much less crowded than other areas on the island. Definitely pick this one!

It was an old school hotel, had a rustic comfortable feel, unpretentious and perfect for us. Lovely family run business, relaxed atmosphere and good communication. Beautiful little beach bar run by one of the brothers Cristos, who made amazing cocktails. Delicious self serve buffet breakfast eaten on lovely outdoor area beside fields and flowers. Gorgeous sea view from our private balcony.

Best hotel experience we ever had, the beach right across is so nice, very quiet yet not boring, lovely village with very nice options. the Hotel had a very friendly/family vibe, we felt like we know everyone from day 1. We spent a week and wished we could stay longer, we met great people staying there, all the people who are managing the hotel are so lovely, especially Christos that we got really attached to, he’s managing the bar among other things, made us amazing cocktails and foods, a barbecue, we listened to great music he took us for a kayak toor, gave us great tips on places to visit, he knows so much history. We didn’t get bored a second there. One things for sure that we’ll go back

France- Old hotel that has hardly been refurbished - No shampoo/body lotion on site - Doors and windows not noise-proofed and we can hear people in the corridor and the noise outdoor
- Amazing location with sea view - Homemade and generous breakfast - Many activities suggested by the hotel: kayak, paddle, bikes etc. Unfortunately everything is costly (same price as very touristic places in Naxos though we are in a less popular region..)

United KingdomCould have done with a new shower curtain & toilet seat in the bathroom - but a minor point!
Amazing location right next to the beach, you could hear the waves during the night. There's a beach that's more sheltered the other side of the cove too. Lovely restaurants nearby to enjoy dinner right by the sea. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. The hotel bar was a lovely addition to relax in the evening. The staff were friendly and relaxed and the whole place had very relaxing vibes.

NetherlandsThe size of the bathroom, especially of the shower.
It's exactly as all the other reviews already described. Go to Kouros if you like to be in a place that seems to be far from any touristic activity and to enjoy the local life and the perfect location of the hotel, directly next to the beach. For us, it felt more like if we were staying at our grandparents then in a hotel. Not because of the age of the owners, but you step into a family life, where there is homemade breakfast waiting for you every morning & people around to help you/tell you what to do. The style of the hotel is really authentic and yes, here and there it deserves a bit of renovation (especially the bathroom/shower). But was it bothering? Not at all. We enjoyed our stay very much!

AustraliaMy own fault for not checking but the property is extremely far from the main port. It’s over an hour drive and if you miss the last bus of the day the taxis were quoting over 100 euros. Thankfully the owners helped us book a different taxi for 80. Still expensive but that’s taxis.
The owners were super helpful and friendly. They even helped us book a taxi from the port as we were unable to make calls ourselves. Super accomodating and a lovely breakfast included.

CyprusWe were the first (and only guests) of this 2023 Season and the weather was bit unkind to us, so we could not take full advantage of the open areas of the hotel and not all the local restaurants and bars were operational (nonetheless we did have a choice)
Owner was a very interesting person, with interesting friends. Breakfast was fine, Beach was not sandy except in limited spots but very close to the hotel garden, with its outside bar, games and seating / sunbathing area. A range of in water and hiking facilities was available on request. The hotel was close to the village, but sufficiently far so as to be away from traffic and noisy people especially the day trippers. Real Greek Island feeling, a little bit "jaded" - just the right amount with a kind of "Robinson Crusoe" Atmosphere. Lots of books, everywhere and great if you like jazz music, which we do. Rather large car park at rear - its a field!

Abkhazia, GeorgiaIt suited us down to a t, but others might find it useful to hire a car if you want to explore the island as the town is fairly remote
Everyone there was amazing and really helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The view from the room was insane. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. We did the kayak trip and swam in the most beautiful clear waters. Honestly couldn't recommend enough

RomaniaThis is a special place, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the local hospitality and nature. What the hotel lacks in amenities - the furnishings are quite dated, but functional and clean - it more than makes up in hospitality, tranquility and character. It sits on a quiet beach near the small village of Apollonas, perfect for disconnecting from the hustle of the real world and taking the time to engage with the beautiful nature. The seaside bar has with a large selection of books, drinks, music, conversation and advice; you can rent out kayaks or take one of the free bicycles, and explore the beautiful surroundings and beaches. Breakfast was good and you can also order a variety of great Greek specialties from the bar until 6PM.
