Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelNot a big issue, but in a family suit, while an air conditioner works pretty well in the main room, it is somehow weak in the children's room. I also do not understand why you need to put 2 separate beds in the main room...
Excellent location with a private beach, a lot of places with delicious food. Friendly and willing to help staff, particularly at the reception desk. They assisted us with a travel recommendations and taxi to airport.

Kriti Beach Hotel – Rethymno’s Seaside Embrace Some hotels offer a stay. Kriti Beach Hotel offers a HOMECOMING. From the moment you step into its light-filled lobby, you’re met with the kind of welcome that feels less like check-in and more like being greeted by old friends. Elegant concierges erase the miles of travel with warm smiles, anticipating needs you didn’t even know you had. Upstairs, modern, immaculate rooms open to balconies (reserve it) that catch the sea breeze, framing Rethymno’s beachfront streets. Mornings bring bountiful breakfasts; evenings, sumptuous dinners — Cretan classics, Mediterranean and international favorites — open-air terrace seating where the scent of grilled herbs mingles with salt air. Every bite is rich with the soul of home cooking, as though a beloved YiaYia has been cooking all day just just for you. Even the cocktails (colorful, delicious, and made with love), arrive with an easy warmth from the bar staff, who remember not just your drink but your stories. By day, the inviting pool offers a cool, refreshing dip beneath a captivating stone fountain wall. By night, as dinner unfolds, the cascade trickles as a mythological waterfall so magical you half expect Athena and Zeus to appear. Step outside, and the private stretch of sand — with sun loungers reserved for hotel guests (no charge except front row) is your VIP chaise on the Aegean. Attentive beach staff, the quiet heroes of the hotel, dash between umbrellas with chilled drinks, full bar menu, meze (snacks), and sunny grins. Twice a week, as the horizon melts into ten shades of blue and purple only found in Crete, live music swirls poolside for dining guests: a lilting bouzouki/ keys/vocals one evening, a graceful piano-vocal duo the next, blending Greek classics with contemporary international songs. At Kriti Beach Hotel, you arrive a guest — and leave aching to return to the family you’ve found.

“My stay was absolutely outstanding. Everything exceeded my expectations – from the spotless cleanliness of the entire place to the incredibly warm, helpful, and professional staff. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, and the breakfast each morning was simply exceptional – fresh, varied, and delicious. I genuinely felt cared for and appreciated every moment of my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality service and a truly memorable experience. I will definitely come back!”

IsraelThis is not a 5 stars hotel. The lobby and elevator smells of cigarettes, the elevator is tiny, couldn’t get inside with the baby’s stroller. The air conditioning in the room is very hold and takes time to cool, if you leave the room or open the balcony’s window, it shuts off and takes time to cool again. It is not view to the sea, it is side view. The rooms are small , we couldn’t open our luggage since we also have a baby and needed a bed for him. We shortened our trip and didn’t stay there the whole time we were supposed to because we didn’t have any space.
The luggage person was nice and helpful at the entrance They did try and help with baby bath which they didn’t have. Breakfast was fine

United KingdomThe overall look of the hotel felt old and dated. At first glance the room looked clean and tidy, but on closer inspection the tv had a thick layer of dust on top & there were several long black hairs on the bathroom floor (I’m blonde & husband is bald) also the paper doily under the drinking glasses looked like they’d been there for weeks. Breakfast was very chaotic, with waiting staff running around like crazy. Looking like they didn’t want to be there. The food offer wasn’t great either. Plenty of choices but the quality was poor.
Location, the hotel is right in front of the seaside and has access to a private beach. Air conditioning was also good as the temperature outside was hot. The bed was comfortable although we had 2single beds instead of a double bed
