Hello our stay was we excellent, the staff was very friendly always with a smile from the cleaning personnel to the hotel manager George, Breakfast and supper was very good with a wide variety, Cleanliness was excellent from the room, dining area inside and out , the pool was cleaned every night. You can tell that George the manager takes pride in his work, we wanted to book a cruise to visit the famous Navagio beach he booked everything and the transportation from the hotel and back this saved us a lot of time. The location of the hotel is perfect for someone who wants to relax from all the hustle and bustle from the busy streets only a 15 min drive from the main port I would absolutely recommend Matilda hotel

We had a beautiful stay and used it as a home base to explore the island. The hotel is very clean with a large pristine pool overlooking the sea. The manager, George, was so hospitable and caring for all of the guests. We had dinner at the hotel and it was delicious.

The staff was super friendly. They provided free deserts after meals, free extra options for breakfast, and also they allowed me a late checkout. Everything was so nice and perfect! I loved the swimming pool area and the morning swimming. Thank you, Matilda!

The housekeeping staff should change towels more frequently, as they only did so when we left all towels (used or not) on the bathroom floor.

Wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially the ones in charge of the bar. Good breakfast, large parking, close to the airport and main beaches in Vasilikos.

The air conditioning did not work properly… it took about 4-5 hrs for it to cool down the room, but luckily we had a good old fan in the room. The bathroom needs immediate restoration and the water from the pipes is not potable- it is salty and for me it caused some skin problems. The breakfast could also use some improvements

Great location for those of you who are looking for some peace and calm, away from all the parties and the noise. Also you should know that Vasilikos has the best, sandy beaches on the island. The location of the hotel is kind of isolated so you definitely need a car in order to reach the beaches or the supermarket .Beautiful views- our balcony had a pool and seaside view, amazing, friendly staff and clean rooms.

It make the judgement a lot worse that the big boss (or owner) is left behind about 30 years not allowing you to have two biscuits from the breakfast table in the early morning when you leave for an excursion, making a big scandal from this. The staff was very nice packing for us two sandwiches and two cakes in the evening after asking them, but this scandal of the boss was very inapropiate and not in line with the overall evaluation of the Hotel.

Beautiful location, nice staff, close to Banana Beach, Gerakas and Dafni + other beautiful beaches , almost everything is OK.

Staff were incredibly accommodating. Extremely friendly too. They even found some jewelry left behind accidentally by one of us and promptly called us to return it. The place was also very good. We had rented a car so it was easier to go around everywhere with it from the hotel. All the good beaches are also close by.

Really ugly room with Ancient room decor, poor lighting, breakfast full of bready options, no fresh eggs or fruit. It’s a beautiful property that is highly outdated, so in need of a renovation. No ice on floors. Mini glasses that don’t get washed. Hard pillows. The key given for the exterior door never worked. The walk to my room outside always soaking wet and the steps of the doorway always had cigarettes, a cup of coffee and ashtray. Totally unprofessional.

The bathroom sink and cabinetry was spacious. Balcony had a beautiful view. It was quiet and convenient for Vassilikos beaches. The room wasn’t uncomfortable. I used the couch for suitcases. Bed was ok. Room was cleaned daily. I like the restaurant onsite but since the breakfast buffet was so poor I had no desire to experiment with dinner there. I liked feeling safe with enclosed fence around the hotel.

Bathroom is very small. Breakfast was ok however missing a toaster. Room given was not exactly front sea view looked more like a side view but was ok still had very nice sleep and could still see the sea when waking up

Location was great away from all the busy area. Tip for who is thinking to book this hotel: You need to have a car otherwise may not be convenient location. Very quiet. Bed was comfortable Very spacious wardrobe.

-breakfast is forgettable we ate there once - you cannot enter the pool after using sunscreen, and there is no shade over the pool have you thought about how you take a small child into the pool like this? - When booking on booking.com, I was looking for accommodation for two adults and one child The child is 6 years old, it was written that there is no need to notify separately, but the arrival was problematic nonetheless - attitude of staff

If the hotel rated themselves as a 3 star hotel with exceptional outside facilities, I think no one would be able to be disappointed. However, presenting themselves as a 4 star hotel, the place unfortunately doesn't meet the expectations at all. Overall, it seems that you can't complain, everything you might need is there available for you, but there are those little details that count (very much), that make your stay less comfortable or pleasant. Some of them other commenters already mentioned; like the shower, which is very small (an old bathtub in which you can hardly stand). On top of that due to the condition of the shower head holder, the shower head was falling on our heads. Another little detail was the drinks selection at the breakfast. Artificial juices and water from a big container that had a strange taste. We wish the hotel realised that investing in those little details would elevate their standard greatly. Of course, you could get much higher quality of beverages at the pool bar at an extra charge, but this is not the point.

The staff was very friendly. The facilities outside are very pretty and well taken care of on a daily basis. There is a very nice view, fine pool and pool bar and very good a la carte food served over there (at the pool bar). The bed was very comfortable.
