Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. United States of AmericaThis was our second stay at a Mistsis propety, the first one being at the one in Crete. Overall, this facility did not meet our expecations for the price paid. Rooms were small, and the bathrroms were outdated.
The beach was nice, the facilities were clean, and the staff were pleasant.

SwitzerlandSome things would need a little renovation (e.g. the beach beds) and eventhough there is a no reservation policy of beds by the pool and beach, everything by the pool is taken by 8 am and for sure longer than an hour not occupied.
We really enjoyed the nice big resort property, the lovely beach and the good food at the à la carte restaurants.

United KingdomSome suggestions for improvement - 1. The aircon in our room was not very effective during the heatwave and we found it too hot to be in our room during the day. Please review options for more effective cooling. 2. As a vegan, I struggled to figure out which dish was suitable in the main buffet as there was no food label (Ve, V, G/F etc.). Please consider labelling the dishes in the main buffet. 3. We faced some housekeeping issues where toilet rolls, towels and toiletries were not replenished when they ran out. Howver, once we called the reception, they sent them over within 15 minutes.
I have just come back from a 7 nights holiday and have been very happy with my stay at the resort. The food was varied and delicious, the private beach was beautiful and clean, the rooms and overall resort were well appointed and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The best part of the stay was the lovely staff - polite, helpful, so very hardworking and a pleasure to interact with. The conceirge was super helpful and helped us plan all our excursions. A special shout out to Alex, thank you! There were plenty of sun loungers both at the beach as well as the pools. There are lots of pools and the resort is very spread out, so we never felt crowded in. The golf buggies were always readily available if we chose not to walk. We really enjoyed the Pan-Asian restaurant and it was a highlight of our stay. The evening entertainement was also very enjoyable and we were spoilt for choice. I would also like to mention that I accidentally misplaced my handbag (containing cash, jewellery and valuables) and the staff found it and returned it back the next day with all the contents intact.

United KingdomSome staff were particularly unhelpful. Pool maintenance guy refused assistance to retrieve my daughters inflatable which had floated out of reach. Said he didn’t speak English but it was extremely obvious what we were requesting… Room service missed a couple of our plates off our order, and the service took over an hour by which time we were very tired. One day at the pool bar I queued for 25 mins before being served, and although we did have a few waiters come to ask for our drinks orders, they were few and far between over our stay. One evening at the Greek a la carte restaurant we had all finished our starter and main meal and my 9 year old daughter still had not received hers. When I asked I was told that it was made by a different restaurant so that was the reason. This could be easily timed properly to arrive together. The food was excellent quality but very small portions. Our family and the family sat on the next table went to eat again after leaving which is surely a false economy. Booking an a la carte restaurant proved difficult. On the 5 nights we stayed there was only availability for 2 evening meals at the Greek and 1 availability for a lunch. Had we known they got booked quickly we would have booked as soon as we arrived. There was power cut to our room which we were told would be 2 hours until it was but was much longer (at least 5 hours) which prevented us charging our devices, taking a shower or making a cup of tea in the morning. We came back after lunch and couldn’t get in our room due to the key card system being electric. This was frustrating. We were not offered a different room. When I mentioned it to the reception, we were told it was a ‘whole island’ thing but this was not truthful as the main building had working lifts and power. Honesty is always the best policy Christos. Our check in time was at 2pm. We arrived at 5.30 and our room wasn’t ready for an hour.
Beautiful views over the entire property. Wonderful arrangement in which all of the Mitsis hotels were accessible to guests. Great evening entertainment, something for everyone. Also a lovely touch was an Easter egg hunt for the children. Extensive menu and a la carte restaurants. Wonderful maid service, we didn’t get her name but she was so lovely, friendly and kind especially to our children. Great beachfront location with many sun loungers and also around the pools. Beach bar, crepes and ice creams and diner menu available for all day snacks. Great kids pool with slides and safe environment. Buffet and ice cream/crepes staff were especially welcoming and friendly as were the pool bar waiters. The golf buggy driver was fantastic, very friendly and fun!

RussiaPools are not heated in autumn, not even one. Restaurants across the facility are below average in food quality. Non-carbonated soft drinks are awful, Lipton for tea and concentrated juices; it's weird to serve unlimited wine and beer but not fresh orange juice. SPA is not included, not even the pool; there's no privacy from the SPA reception and staff, no changing rooms, no fans in the toilet (SPA is located in a separate facility from the living area so you have to run backwards with wet hair). Coffee machine in the room but no capsules? What's the point? Not related to the hotel itself, the invited car rental company gave us a damaged car that wouldn't go into reverse. No discount on drop off, of course.
Nice view from the rooms. Food is good in the main restaurant. Rooms are clean and well decorated, the mini bar is free of charge and renewed. The staff is incredibly polite and helpful. There are a lot (and I mean A LOT) of pools across the hotel.

United KingdomThe hotel has a buffet with superb views from the terrace, plus some lovely little snack bars near the pool. Then there's dining a la carte in four restaurants on the sea front - which is exquisite. Where guests prefer a la carte, pre-reserving a table proved to be a challenge. In the case of large groups (we were 11) the best is to ask reception for the reservation number ahead of travelling and use this to pre-book tables for a la carte dining. In our case we asked ahead of arrival what the room numbers were but got no response. As booking a la carte proved very difficult once we arrived, we approached reception to help us, and finally after three attempted days succeeded with help of the lovely restaurant manager Dimitri. A further suggestion: beds should have felt pads as they screech when room service moves them (also in the rooms above one's head).
The wonderful architecture makes the most of the superb views from this property and ensures there's a secluded corner for everyone despite this being a large resort. We travelled as a wider family with children, parents and grandparents, and the rooms as well as the public spaces, pools and beach front contained all the essentials suited to accommodate each generation's needs. This resort is ten minutes by taxi from the airport, which is handy, and yet quite secluded and peaceful - in walking distance to town (there's also a shuttle bus). We liked the coffee bar near the dining area, friendly staff and super coffee, as well as the pancake bar near the pool - try the banoffee pancake.

United KingdomIn general the staff are great but we had some issues during our stay with the minority of staff that were not helpful. Our son has a serious allergy and things are not labeled well in the buffet area, so we often had to ask about what was in the dishes. Quite a few staff were very unhelpful, simply saying they didn't know which to me isn't acceptable for a 5 star hotel. Also general maintenance through the hotel is a bit of issue. Poolside, loads of tiles are falling off and the gym is pretty basic.
Overall a really enjoyable stay. The location - whilst a little isolated - has amazing views and the sunrises are pretty special. The lunch and evening buffets are great and some of the a la carte restaurants (Greek and Asian) are good. I also very much enjoyed the Sushi and Healthy corner (went there pretty much every morning as the breakfast buffet is limited and I struggled to find anything I liked - and I'm not a fussy eater!) We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade on our room, which gave us (family of 3) plenty of space and really made our holiday even more enjoyable. The sports program through the day is great and the instructors are clearly very skilled and highly motivated doing their jobs.

ItalyProblems with the booking system at restaurants near the sea. I tried to book in advance as advised by previous guests but the app wouldn't allow me to do it without a room number as it didn't recognise our reservation number. The result was having very few options in terms of lunch/dinner as the quality isn't very good except in Pita Corner and the Creperie. I wouldn't recommend Healthy Corner at all and the sushi is poor quality. However, the bars and staff are great with good selection of cocktails and lots more. I highly recommend the main buffet restaurant if you want better quality, good selection and without need to reserve a table.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a family room with jacuzzi as we were on our honeymoon, which was a lovely surprise.

Belgiumwe had a room with access to a shared pool but the room was located in a way that we could not see the pool from the window, very difficult to book any restaurant a la carte due to the big demand, the water park with water slides were a bit disappointing
lots of swimming pools, beautiful view from the main building, sport activities in a beautiful location at the beach with great instructors , small restaurants with super tasty and healthy smoothies and pancakes, never had a problem with finding sun beds, we were offered sparkling wine and some snacks on our first day with a room service, excellent restaurants a la carte! the receptionist thoughtfully sent a little buggy to transport us and our valises at the day we were leaving,
