Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The villa is simply stunning. In a quiet secluded place, huge territory, large heated pool, 5 bedrooms, very authentic design, convenience. There was always hot water - for Greece it is surprising (it was not necessary to heat it every time). Huge kitchen, the staff we did not even see, everyone is very friendly and trusting. By the way, the Northern part of the island is much more attractive than the southern. The villa is in the North, and all the tourist villages are in the south, this is a huge benefit . To the beach of Navagio 20 minutes, in 5 minutes there are wonderful restaurants and beaches. The villa is equipped with everything: even a washing machine, beach towels - a combination lock on the door - very convenient. Many thanks to the staff!

CanadaA traditional stone villa with heated swimming pool with salt water and no chemicals. The location is fantastic as it is quiet and natural. The house is as it is described and has a great value for money. It is well equipped and you can find anything you need at you stay. The kitchen is well equipped so you can cook your own breakfast , lunch and dinner. Wifi is really good and the internet speed decent.

CanadaThere is some construction nearby but it was during the day when we were out exploring so it was not a problem.
Wow! Villa Melite in Zakynthos was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece! Not only was this mansion absolutely beautiful and well-equipped, but the host, Elena, was exceptional in taking care of us. She contacted us on WhatsApp with location information and waited for us even though we arrived later than expected. Elena provided us with several bottles of water, checked in on us daily and even let us check out later so we could finish our photoshoot before the next group arrived. The stone architecture, beautiful sea views and gorgeous patio gave us plenty of places to hang out, drink our coffee and take pictures. Beds were comfortable as were the outdoor seating (cushioned chairs, loungers and a mattress for stargazing!). Yes, you need a car to get to this mansion, but I would highly recommend you rent a car anyway if you plan to explore the many beaches and restaurants on the island. The nearest beach has several options for breakfast and if you want to hire a boat & driver, it's a perfect way to view the spectacular coastline. It only took us 15 min to get to the famous Navaggio Beach and while the south end of the island is the party area, the Northwest coast is absolutely stunning! Thank you Elena for your kindness and thank you Villa Melite for your warmth & beauty. Ignore the petty and negative reviews and book this Villa for a unique and memorable stay in Askos, Zakynthos : )

AustriaThe apparment was incredible, with a beautiful view and plenty of space for our group. We were in march so there was no commotion due to the tourist off-season. The owners are extremely friendly and forth coming. I would definitely recommend visiting here!

United KingdomArea around pool could be softened with some greenery and parasols. Some electrical kitchen equipment did not work. Bathrooms were basic and showers were feeble. Mattresses were hard. With a bit more investment this could be a fabulous place.
Very spacious, light and cool; beautiful view across to the sea from the lovely veranda; nice pool.

AustriaThe villa is nice and big. Upper flor with 3 rooms and living rooms are exceptional. Two rooms at first flor are average (no windows), but we did not need to use it. The pool is big and you can use it in the night. View from the hill is fantastic. There are also exceptional beaches and restoraunts within 15 minutes drive. You will nead car when staying here. If you want to relax and enjoy in peace this is the place for you.

SpainSome of the rooms of the house are really close, mainly the ones downstairs. The house it's a little bit overprice, in some spaces it's a kind of cold... not very cozy. Neighbours are on construction and landscape it's not that nice on the back.
They were very helpfull, eventhough they had some car issues, they were really interested and proactive to get there on time. The house and area are absolutely wonderfull, views and swimmingpool are just perfect.

PortugalWe stayed at this property in Zakynthos with a group of 7 people, including 4 children. The location was good – quiet and close to key spots on the island – and the house is charming from the outside. However, it’s clear that the property needs significant updates. When we arrived, a large caterpillar vehicle was blocking the entrance, and we had to wait quite a while before we could access the house. Inside, most of the appliances are very old and don’t work properly, which made our stay less comfortable than expected. The biggest issue for us, especially traveling with young children, was the layout of the bedrooms. The Booking.com listing made no mention of the fact that not all rooms are within the same house. There are 3 bedrooms in the main house, but the other 2 are in separate buildings with their own entrances and keys. This setup might work for groups of adults, but it’s far from ideal for families with kids. That said, the property manager, Elena, was helpful and did her best to assist us during our stay. With some improvements and a clearer listing, this could be a much better experience for future guests.
The location is good and the heated pool is confortable

GermanyIf you're focusing on exploring the more touristic part of the island, this villa is located on the wrong side. If you don't like driving on sometimes tough roads, this villa is hard to reach without a car. If you don't like a lot of sun in a peaceful area, this villa isn't for you either. There's only one thing that we really had to get used to: the water is always salty, no matter if we're talking pool water or tap water.
The house lies in the more quieter part of the island in the north. Thus, there's plenty of traditional greek life to discover and less touristic overflow. The pool is an absolute gem and a major reason to revisit. The villa offers everything one can wish for when being on vacation. You can spend entire days on the compound without leaving, as there's a fireplace for barbecues, several options of terraces or patios in the sun or in the shades and even the inside of the house offers a lot of space to retreat. Also, if emergency situations occur around the house, the property manager is always available and there to help. Thanks again for your immediate response, Elena!!

FranceHonestly the overall experience wasn’t good. It s not good value for money. The equipment is old, scarce, the dishwasher wasn’t working, the showers are … uneven (you never know if you will have hot water or not, and the waterflow is really tiny). Way too expensive for what it is.
Hardly anything.
