Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaOnly hiccup was during our departure, we booked a hotel limousine to the airport, we got the bellman to collect our luggages from our room to load it on the car as we went down to check out. The bellman who took our luggages were nowhere to be found, other bellman had no idea where our car or luggages were. Took them 10-15 mins to figure it out. It's nothing major but just a small patch of discomfort in what was otherwise a 10/10 stay for us.
We moved to this hotel on the 26th december for 2 nights after 3 nights at St Regis and experiencing some very unpleasant matters. The hotel is great, service was excellent, there were plenty of dining options offered inside the hotel, a very well-equipped gym with a beautiful harbor view. We dined at the chinese restaurant (The Legacy House), food was excellent and service was great too from the hostess who welcomed us and brought us to our seats to the staff who took great care of us from the start till the end of our meal.

United KingdomUnimpressed that a charge (albeit very small) was added to my bill for the provision of toiletries during my stay. This just seems mean and stingy considering the price of the room.
Location is excellent; only a short walk from several Metro stations and the Star Ferry. View is wonderful. Room was marvellous; bathroom with double shower and basins, and the beautiful bath placed centrally - wardrobe area spacious and plenty of amenities within reach - nice touch putting a plug socket in the cupboard so I could use hair tools at the mirror with my outfit - bed so comfortable, and more nice touches like the phone charging pad on the bedside table and plug adaptors left around for convenience - the sofa even had hidden plug sockets in the arm, genius! The spa is wonderful; along with the jacuzzi overlooking the harbour (from the female one anyway) there is a stunning marble sauna and a cold pod where you can have freezing air pummelling you from all sides. The gym is well apportioned and was very empty during my stay - they also considerately provide headphones if needed.

SingaporeFor a 6* hotel, thought check in would be sit-down with a welcome drink. Staff are quite Asian in that when you pass them they tend to look down rather than say hi. As what another review says, staff can do more to explain about the hotel during check in. Indeed guests have to ask all the questions including how to get to the station, where the respective restaurants are, or what the credits can be used for. Can easily provide hair ties at gym/pool since room has them. Staff at pool didn't know where to get them. While I'm grateful they allowed me to pack the high tea I couldn't finish, the packaging can be more presentable instead of a generic brown bag.
The view from the room and pool were jaw dropping. The hardware is definitely impressive on every floor. Very new and luxurious hotel. Staff contactable by WhatsApp and put in effort to help with restaurant booking. The black out curtains were great, overslept the next day 😂 Guest service always pick up after one or two rings and address you immediately by name. All staff friendly and eager to help

Hong Kongsome staff is not well trained. had body massage with my friend, the therapist my friend had who has no skill, this is actually a very surprised to us. thought Rosewood has well trained therapist but was very disappointed. after the treatment they just asked us to sign the bill without asking how was the treatment. plus when we went to Chinese restaurant at 6:30 pm, the staff first asked us to wait, then told us to wait again because she needed another staff to let her know the seat , then other staff came to us 10 mins late and told us they fully booked so no seat available. so disappointed so i made call to guet service, then restaurant manger called back and say they just had cancellation so could accommodate us. you know we thought the staff just made a lie to us, for hotel staying guests for no reason.
location is great, have to say hardware is very great and beautiful, i like the concept too.

United StatesThe Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong, while a stunning property, unfortunately fell short in terms of service for an ultra-luxury establishment. There were numerous staff members present, but their roles and responsibilities were not made clear, leaving guests in the dark from the moment they entered the lobby. The check-in process could benefit from significant improvements, particularly in anticipating guests' needs and providing information about the facilities and amenities on offer. As a guest, I found myself asking all the questions, with no proactive information being shared about the hotel. The experience was akin to checking into a 2-3 star hotel, where the primary interaction involves receiving a room key and a cursory "have a nice day." For a 5-star hotel like the Rosewood, one would expect a more comprehensive introduction to the property, its restaurants, and navigation tips. Ideally, guests should be introduced to a butler upon check-in who can address their needs and even provide a tour of the hotel. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the customer experience at this beautiful hotel, given the number of staff members present. The hotel management should focus on enhancing staff training and guidance to ensure they can better anticipate and meet guests' needs.
The hotel architecture, design, decor and rooms are beautiful one of the best in HK.

PhilippinesThe return route from the mall to the hotel is confusing at first, especially to a spatially-challenged person like me. Adding directional signs would be helpful. It was also quite a walk to the nearest MTR.
