Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The Casati is a truly lovely hotel , spotlessly clean. Love the funky decor. Room was a great size, beds comfy and a fab large en-suite. Room attended to every day by the lovely housekeeping team. All the staff are polite, kind, professional and are always available to ensure that you have a great stay. Breakfast was included and there was a superb variety of food available. Fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, fresh bread, continental meats and cheese and a choice of hot food too! All delicious! There is also a fabulous cosy little cocktail bar open from 4pm and the cocktails are great!! The location is also great with everything being within walking distance. Opera House is a 2 minute walk! I didn’t take any photos of the room as it’s not my thing. But I can safely say the photos on their website and Booking.com are true. I would definitely recommend staying here and if I go back to Budapest, this is where I will be staying!

All was very nice, breakfast was perfect. The small bar next door was really nice and cheerful. And specially the location was more than terrific, very close to all the right places. We loved it.

Need an extra lock on the door. Somebody opened my door at 7am hopefully it was the cleaner, not sure I was in the bathroom

Everything was perfect
Location was amazing, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the sauna and gym well equipped, breakfast was thorough the roof! Next time in Budapest I will not hesitate to book again!

There was nothing we didn’t like.
Clean, comfortable, quirky, boutique. All staff so friendly & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was simply divine. Highly recommended. A great find. Worth every penny. Close to all amenities & sights.

Coffee machine was a bit temperamental and I would have preferred coffee sachets in the room - coffee machine didn’t work efficiently with pods do unnecessary
Breakfast was excellent and the staff member there called Amarilla ( I think) was a happy, caring and an asset to the hotel . Hotel reception where knowledgeable, friendly and helpful too

Small grumble...the duvet wasn't big enough for the bed, so if you are sharing a bed you were often left without a duvet over you!
A little gem of a hotel. Staff were brilliant, breakfast was delicious with lots of choice, and the location was perfect to explore the city.

Didn’t enjoy breakfast as never fancied eating broccoli or spring rolls for breakfast. The location of our room wasn’t good as heard noise from 6.30 am setting up breakfast

Great location, plenty of places to eat and drink around and 10 min walk to Christmas markets. Breakfast was excellent and liked how tea, coffee facilities were available all day complimentary. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the whole place was spotless and comfortable. Loved the bar too, really small but comfy and cozy.

Simply superb. Excellent check-in details with super helpful staff, fantastic breakfast with terrific staff (she is truly wonderful), great room, great location, great little gym, great sauna. In terms of value for money this is one of the best. We couldn’t stay longer as the hotel was sold out.

There was nothing that I didn't like.
The rooms were spacious and the walk-in shower was powerful. The staff were excellent and always helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with many food choices. Overall a great hotel and value for money.

The only issues was a very loud bathroom fan. We reported it and they had a look but didn't manage to fix it. It was really no problem, we just avoided using the light/fan at night.
Lovely hotel in central area. Comfortable beds and lots of vegan options at breakfast. Really nice cocktail bar downstairs serving great drinks in a cool atmosphere.
