Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful hotel, worth paying extra for spa access. Beautiful breakfast with champagne. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby Loved everything would stay again

It was obvious our room hadn’t been used in a while. There was some dust, and the bathroom had a foul smell. It went away after I turned on the shower - clearly the water in the P trap had evaporated. Also our room wasn’t ready despite our arrival at 6:30pm - and there was no one to greet us at the front door. It was an odd arrival.
The property is beautiful. The restaurant is divine and breakfast was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa and the spa staff. We must give a special mention to Joszef and his trio. Their music during the evenings were a highlight of our holiday. Please send him our regards (from the couple from New York and Belgrade). Phenomenal.

I was booked into the Superior kings room however the bed were to single beds put together, with separate beddings. I did not sleep like a king as basically the beds were divided. The robe was old and the bed and room were not properly cleaned. We were also not told about the holding deposit when you get to the property My room had a broken handle that one could seee was recently fixed.
- The property looks better in person, very clean and luxurious. The Royal Spa was amazing The breakfast was nice.

Central location in Pest. Beautiful hotel inside and out made to feel very special as a guest. It was a big birthday for me while there and without asking a bottle of fizz and delicious chocolate cake was left in our room for us 🤩

The room, while large and comfortable, showed its wear in places. The loveseat, for example, was uncomfortable, and (for us anyway) the mattress too soft

The room was smaller than I anticipated but perfectly enough. Also, the room was overlooking at a smallish courtyard but since it was on the top floor it was not dark and this made the room extremely quiet.
The breakfast was immaculate. Staff was extremely kind and helpful with very good english levels. The building and the decoration feels luxurious. Hotel it is not very close to Danube but walking route is leisurely too. St.Stephens basilica and opera house is very close. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel which makes everything easier. I bought a 3 day pass for city transport and was able to reach every attraction point easily. There are lots of bars and etc. close to the hotel, so even at late hours the surrounding is not desert. The room was perfectly adequate with a simple but elegant looking decoration. (Bonus tip: the hair dryer is in the drawer of the desk :)

The hotel was superb. Great location in Pest, ideally suited for anyone wanting to visit the major tourist locations. The food was incredible, breakfast was exceptional. The staff were attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough to help.

My only criticism would be that on arrival we were allocated an adjoining room- our neighbours were noisy and we didn’t get a great nights sleep. We arranged to move room the next day.
Centrally located, very friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable and clean room. AC worked well which was a necessity with the high temperatures.

The rooms need a refurbishment with some older and frayed appliances- everything works but is not the most modern or stylish. Internal comms within the hotel could work better- one night in the Atrium restaurant a fantastic musical trio was playing and only two people appeared to be dining. I would have dined there that night had I known about the special music but I have no idea how I would have found out! There may have been promotional screens but I did not see them in the lobby or elsewhere.
The hotel was a charming and lovely old building with large rooms and excellent breakfasts. Staff was helpful and smiling. Good Executive Club Lounge. The Royal Spa is a fantastic addition.
