Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe floor of the room wasn’t clean. Would be great to use vaccum under and next to the beds. The room was so noisy because of the road and very luminous in the morning (would be better to have proper curtains). As it was a ceremony day, it was impossible to get breakfast before 9am but if you plan to do diving in the early morning you’ll have to skip the breakfast
The location in Amed is nice, close to everything. The bathroom was spacious

PhilippinesFor a start, the toilet flush was not working properly. When the toilet wouldn’t flush in the evening, there was no one we can report it to or ask help from. The room also only had 1 outlet available and we booked a shared room for 2 people. We had to unplug the router that was not working anyways so me and my roommate could both charge our gadgets. The staff also did not want to serve us our free breakfast on our last day - saying that it was not included. I clarified that we had booked a 3 days 2 nights stay and so breakfast should be included. He further rebuffed our request by telling us - “I think you don’t need breakfast”. After insisting that yes - we do need it, he did serve it to us.
Location was good and the rooms were spacious.

Ripper location, right in the middle of town and across the road from the beach for snorkeling. Restaurant is very affordable and brekky is quite delish.

CanadaThe kitchen wasn't really ready to be used, as it had dirty cabinets, no dish soap, no microwave, and mold on the edge of the fridge. However, with breakfast included and the restaurant so affordable, we really only needed the bare minimum anyway. Living space had four chairs, a table, and a wooden couch, so most of our lounging happened in the bedrooms. The location on Booking is not correct, use Google to find Cafe Divers Hotel.
We had a great stay here! We had a Family Room which had three bedrooms with AC and clean linen, two bathrooms, living space and a kitchen. The balcony just had a drying rack for swimwear. We loved the location, all we had to do was cross a street that was not too busy, walk through the restaurant, and then the beach in front had the most amazing snorkeling! No need to go anywhere else! Coral, and fish, and even a sea turtle! There was a refreshing pool and sun loungers available on the beach. Scuba day trips came and went, which meant it was lively at some points in the day with local people helping to move equipment. The included breakfast and restaurant were great, an affordable menu, with very friendly staff. Sunset here was so peaceful. The location is away from the more touristy part of Amed, but honestly we didn't miss anything and were content to stay within the same area of the hotel.

GermanyNothing, it was great. Just be aware that this is for low budget travelers.
Very basic, but clean room. Directly at the beach. You step into the sea and enjoy the very impressive corral reef. We even saw a red lionfish. Staff except for one guy very friendly (he just seems bored).

GermanyThe snorkeling trip just provides the lift to three spots without giving safety instructions before. If it's your first time snorkeling, maybe you want to look for a guide to to learn the rules concerning the sensitive flora and fauna. For the spots themselves, you need luck with the weather as the sea can be rough. Otherwise, a beautiful experience.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Right at the beach. Good to catch the sunrise. Organising snorkeling trips. They even provide a GoPro for your snorkeling. Breakfast is very good, from continental to local.

South AfricaGreat location, great rooms with lots of space, great restaurant with low prices compared to the other restaurants nearby and the food is tasty. Highly recommend a fishing trip with Ketut - much cheaper than other companies and a great experience on a traditional boat. Plus the chef will cook up your catch for lunch or dinner. Would come back for sure.
