The space is dated, and could be maintained better, but the size is very generous and a great beachside location.

Delightful nature-surrounded stay. Was magic to watch the sunlight change over the lush greenery, birds and with the symphony of ocean. My room was filled with light, big windows and a beach view. Easy walk down the beach to Charly's chocolate factory, cafe and shops beyond. Quiet beach with strong waves, great for surfers (as name suggests!) and adventurous ones, good to be aware of the tide and the currents here.

The bathroom was dirty and clearly had not been cleaned in a while. I found chewing gums just sitting in the middle of the sink, the toilet was broken, shower was dirty. No toilet paper, no rug... very... rustic

It's run down, though it wouldn't take much effort or cost to sort the place out.

Great location right by a good surf break. The place used to be in part a school/orphanage but the Australian owner passed away and now the place is quite run down. It used to be high quality accommodation, but is now rather neglected. If you don't have high expectations then you won't be disappointed.

Keep in mind that this place is located away from the city, in a small village that you can reach with a 15/20 minute walk. There you can find supermarkets, places to eat and even a bar. If your plan is to relax and disconnect, it's an excellent option.

The room we booked was beautiful, just like in the pictures. It's a thoughtfully designed space that blends perfectly with the surrounding nature. In terms of size, the room is quite spacious and even has a mini fridge, which is not very common. Communication with the owner was excellent — he replies quickly to messages on WhatsApp and is available for any questions or concerns."

It is old place and really local so do not expect luxury and be willing to sleep middle or jungle. Some dogs are sick but these is not the only place in Bali where street dogs are sick.

Location is great and staff and people that manage the place amazing. Great views from room. Great place for surfing and the teacher is really friendly. If yo want to be and experience local places then is worth to stay there. The beach is stones one.

Need to ride a vehicle to go outside to the nearby restaurant, about 4km to the surfing point cafe nearby. On the road, It is so dark at night, so we spend most of our time in our room. The facilities are quite old but okay.

I would say don’t judge the book by its cover. The conditions of this place are quite bad but we were still attracted to come here. There is a unique story behind it. The energy is great. You can here the sea during the nights and birds in the morning.

The main hall that leads to my room smelt of dog as the resident strays sleep in there and if my room door was open the smell came inside. The shower water smelt funny, maybe it’s ground water or maybe the tanks are dirty, I don’t know. It just wasn’t pleasant trying to get clean in this water. None of this really bothered me but for the price it was disappointing.

The location was great for surf. Right out the front of the surf break. 1 minute from the room and you are already in the lineup. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and a quiet, relaxed place to stay.

Lovely ambiance,.open rooms with mosquito net, ocean view from our room. Very rustic and natural. Very helpful manager organised food, transport etc. This property is not for everyone, don't look for modern facilities.

This place is completely falling apart. Our room was a hut on stilts, with no walls, just a wooden roll down blind, the bed was covered with a mosquito net that probably hasn’t ever been washed, the decking outside the second room had a massive hole in it, easy to fall into in the dark. We were eaten alive by the mosquitos, my 9 year old cried to sleep because he didn’t want to lie down on the end, my husband slept on the day bed, the sheets were stained and he had a falling apart mosquito net that we were scared to touch. The ceiling fan looked like it was going to come off the ceiling when it was turned on so we had to keep it turned off. It was the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had. There is nowhere to eat in the vicinity as it’s in the middle of nowhere, we were given a menu but looking at the state of this place and the kitchen we were not going to eat anything from there. Really should be taken off booking.com

The staff are amazing, all the dudes are so nice and helpful. My cabin, the garden cabin was sooo lovely. Mosquito nets fit bed perfectly, lovely furniture. The local surf crew are such cool dudes, had a great party with them on my last night. My favourite stay in Bali by a long way! I'll be back!
