Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

SpainWe stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, but my recommendation to really enjoy this place would be 3 days and 2 nights.
It’s even better than in the photos. You wake up to the sounds of nature, every detail is carefully maintained, it’s clean, the Wi-Fi is fast, and they have board games and a pool table to keep you entertained. The pool and the poolside loungers are very comfortable. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch. We wanted to go diving, and the hotel made it super easy by arranging everything with a diving school that picked us up right there and took us straight to the boat. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy being away from civilization and the fast-paced life.

SingaporeFood left a little to be desired, it's a somewhat small menu. AC was having some issues and struggled to keep the room cool during the afternoon but worked well during the evening.
A great option for someone looking for a higher luxury level than what you can usually find in Komodo. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was fantastic. Lovely clean room, fantastic pool and great staff who made coordinating trips into Komodo National Park very easy.

GermanyYou have to get along with bugs and other small animals - but they do everything they can, if a bigger one gets into your room.
The resort itself is truly a hidden gem, its design is very beautiful. We had so much fun watching the monkeys and the beautiful sunsets. The best part is definitely the staff - everyone is so kind, polite and helpful. Always smiling. And the food was delicious! The live cooking event was very special! We also booked a full day Komodo boat tour, that was also very good and we will always remember snorkeling with mantas.

AustraliaFrom the minute we arrived until the minute we left we were in love with Menjaga!! We stayed in the water villa and it was one of the most amazing villas we have ever stayed in!! The deck bar was one of our favourite spots in the resort especially at sunset! The dinner restaurant was fantastic and the rotating menu kept it fun and exciting each meal and the food was amazing!! The staff were so friendly throughout the stay!! It was so lovely getting to know some of them and enjoying their company! This is a really magical part of the world and I would recommend it to anyone who loves to relax and enjoy the absolute scenes!! Thank you for having us!

United KingdomRoom although lovely, not what was described on booking.com as mentioned above. The description of the rooms on Booking.com appear a little different to the actual Hotel website, We did however meet a member of the family who run the buisness who stated they have been having trouble with booking.com in terms of getting them to describe the accomodation in the same way as the hotels own website. Wine was expensive, no incentive to buy a bottle as works out as much as individual glasses if not more expensive. Main meals were brought out before starters were finished. Our shower temperature was difficult to control, it was scalding hot with good pressure, but in order to acheive a bearable temperature which wouldn't burn you, it took much fiddling with the control, and once a bearable temperature was acheived the water flow was poor. Reported to staff who attended to it. There was a slight improvement, but minimal.
Arrangements for pick up at the airport went smoothly, the driver met us and promptly took us to the pier to catch the boat to Menjaga Bay. We were welcomed on the Pier with a drink and checked in, then shown to our room. We had opted for a Suite with Private Pool and paid the rate for the most expensive mountain room. The description said we should have had 1 living room, 1 seperate bedroom, a pool with a view and bathroom with a bath and a shower. Accomodation was spacious and beautiful, toiletries were lovely. We had a lovely view over the bay from our room terrace. However we did not have a bath and we did not have a sperate bedroom and living room and had no view from the pool. we didn't say anything and chose to simply enjoy our holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful and catered to all our needs, even arranging transfer and appointment at the local hospital when we had to attend to a medical issue. We booked a couples massage which was lovley and relaxing and enjoyed the tranquility and remoteness of the resort. On the 1st morning we departed early for the Komodo trip and we were catered for with a breakfast box which was much appreciated. The resteraunt choices changed each day and for the most part the food was enjoyable, tasty and cooked well. We enjoyed watching the monkeys but beware they will steal your things off the tables outside! We had 1 day of constant drizzle which was actually pleasant as it toned down the humidity and this is the day we went for our massage. We had a lovely 4 night stay. Loved the remoteness and a great place to chill and relax.

Malaysia-
I recently enjoyed a fantastic 3 day, 2 night stay at Menjaga Resort Labuan Bajo. Choosing one of their premier water chalets, I was immediately struck by the incredible service and attention to detail that made this a truly memorable experience. Day 1: From the moment we arrived at the harbor, we were treated like royalty. The staff were absolutely amazing, starting with the warm welcome we received from, who helped us with our luggage and made sure we were comfortable. The boat ride to the resort was scenic and relaxing, thanks to our skilled and friendly boat driver. We were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and a comprehensive tour of the resort, which was stunning. Check-in at the sunset harbor was a breeze, and we were escorted directly to our beautiful water chalet. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need. We quickly changed into our swimwear and took advantage of the complimentary canoes and paddle boards to explore a nearby island. The snorkeling was incredible – vibrant corals and an abundance of fish! Day 2: The resort had seamlessly arranged our Komodo Island excursion. They coordinated with the tour agent to ensure a smooth pick-up at the Komodo Island marine park entrance. We had a phenomenal day hiking, swimming, snorkeling, and encountering the incredible wildlife – Komodo dragons and manta rays! It was an unforgettable experience. Upon our return to the resort, we were treated to a delicious dinner at the Menjaga Bah restaurant. Every dish was a delight, from the appetizers to the main courses and even the ice cream! Day 3: We savored our final day at the resort, starting with a fantastic breakfast buffet that offered a tempting selection of international and local cuisine. I spent a relaxing afternoon swimming in the exquisite pool. What made this stay truly exceptional was the staff.

MaltaNothing I didn't like about the property itself, the only thing which might be negative for some people could be the location if you wish to venture out more and not just looking for a place to chill out ...as it is remote and not easily accessible by taxi or motorbike (but they do still offer tours to the komodo islands from the resort itself if you wish to do so)
Oh what a lovely place! 🩷 So quiet and blissful, and also good value for money considering I had my own private villa with a pool! The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well kept, the staff are all so warm, welcoming and friendly. (As I was travelling alone) They also offer a shuttle boat to take you to the property & back to the harbour.

PortugalDefinitely not an issue for us, but just a heads-up: the bathrooms are located outside, so you might encounter some bugs. Personally, I think it enhances the nature experience, but if you're not comfortable with bugs, you might want to take that into consideration.
Staying at Menjaga Bay was definetly one of the highlights of our trip. From the friendly and helpful staff to the amazing facilities, evertyhing exceeded our expectations. Its remote location makes it the perfect place to relax and simply enjoy nature at its best. We couldn't recommend it more.
