Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHad a really wonderful stay here for 2 nights. Everything was perfect and organised, from the information you receive on WhatsApp before you arrive, to the tours and the rooms etc. Dewi is wonderful and makes you feel right at home. I had dinner both nights and it was delicious. Breakfast also really good. The room was lovely and clean. A big bed. And a lovely view over rice fields. Was super relaxing reading in the hammock. I did the tour as well with Roi which was so good. Got to see lots of the local area, and was able to sort out my transfers for the next few days too. All in all a really warm, homely and welcoming place. Where everything is organised for you if you need.

New ZealandThis is a beautiful, tranquil, and unique lodge in the Balinese mountains. I chose it as I wanted a break from the unrelenting heat of coastal North Bali. Oemah Tepi Sawah is up in a stunning mountain plateau with warm days and delightfully cool evenings. I had a spacious villa, which was charming and serene. Check out the different rooms as they have varying combinations of spaces and bathroom arrangements, but they are all idyllic. The hospitality was amazing. Dewi is a wonderful host and very well organised. The food was healthy, delicious, and unique. The superb cook, Anggi, made amazing dinners, especially the soups. I also had two massages from Iluh. The first one hour massage was so relaxing that I booked a second for one and a half hours. The jungle and mountain trekking made for an excellent day. Putu Nova, Kadek Komar, and Komang Deduk are engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful guides. I went trekking with other guests and we all enjoyed their company. Kadek Komar is also a driver and drove me from Lovina to Oemah Tepi Sawah and then to Sanur. I well recommend Kadek Komar as a driver. This is a beautiful place, and I plan on returning every other year. It is the perfect place to stop for a while as you drive between North and South Bali. I plan on stopping here for a few nights in both directions for my future trips to Bali from now on.

GermanyWe stayed just one night, but it was a truly special experience. The villa is right in the jungle! So close to nature. Big thanks to Dewi for her warm hospitality. She made us feel very welcome, prepared a delicious local breakfast, and helped us order a taxi since the place is quite remote. You can also join cooking or yoga classes and even go on jungle trips if you stay longer. We wish we had more time here. Thank you, Dewi!

IndonesiaWe stayed just 1 night and we definitely want to come back. The location is magical, in the middle of rice fields and jungle. The accommodations are simple, comfortable, very clean, with a cozy homie feeling on each detail. Home cooked Indonesian food was delicious and generous. Dewi and Chandra runs an impeccable little peace of heaven in Bali. Recommend for those looking for experiencing what's Bali truly is, away from the touristy track.

NetherlandsI liked everything. Just know it is really in nature so you have to like that. For me this was perfect
I absolutely loved my stay here! Despite the rain during my entire visit, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful experience. The morning yoga class was truly amazing — the teacher is fantastic, and I learned so much. It was one of the best classes I had taken so far here in Bali. On top of that, the staff even brought me lunch so I didn’t have to walk through the rain — they are so kind! The dinners were also delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The location is breathtakingly beautiful, and the house I stayed in was cosy and I had a great sleep. I really hope to return someday — hopefully with a bit more sunshine!

What a wonderful experience! Definitely will be back, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. The rooms were delightfully cute and cool. While the outdoor shower was unexpected, the hot water was amazing and very much welcomed! Dewi's family and staff have a great outlook on life.

United StatesGorgeous surroundings and so much nature. Excellent place for a personal retreat and to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This was our second time here and we will be back! Each time we stayed for over a week and found that to be an excellent time to really settle into ourselves and our personal spiritual practices. Beautiful walks, great staff, very accommodating. Being lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the jungle is absolutely exquisite. The energy here is extremely healing and rejuvenating. Highly recommended! Thank you Oemah Tepi Sawah! We'll be back. 🙏🕉️🙏

United StatesI wish the chairs in the room's sitting area were more comfortable because it's the best spot to enjoy the view. Also, for the shower water to be hot requires a bit of dialing in: turning the tap all the way to hot and lowering the pressure.
Nice nature get away, it felt like camping, but with more comfort. The view from the room is amazing - a rice field and forest. Sounds of the nature are calming and the fresh air made our sleep very restful. The breakfast is delicious and quite large with a savory dish and local sweets.

Hong KongMaybe you could offer some soft drinks to sell.
The remote, peaceful and beautiful location, the home made breakfasts and diners (very big portions!), the lovely and helpful staff. They helped us find a driver who took us to jatiluwih Rice fields, a hot spring and a very interesting chocolate plantation and factory. Perfect choice if you are looking for a homestay in the nature.

GermanyAn oasis of peace, completely secluded from the outside world, in a forest with rice terraces, run by Dewi and her fantastic team. The open kitchen was an absolute dream. Both breakfast and dinner featured freshly prepared Balinese dishes that were so delicious. Even dessert was always something special. Kudos to the cook. By scooter, you could quickly reach the temple above or the nearby residential area with shops and restaurants. The impressive rice terraces of Jatuliwah can be reached in about 20 minutes. I can recommend it 100%.
