Welcome a little haphazard. Difficult to get information on car parking. Managed to obtain wi-fi login on second day. Bed matrass was a bit lumpy and the room a little cold (I manged to get the radiator working on the second day).

Friendly, good central location, period Georgian property, good breakfast and early availability (7.30am). The other guests were friendly.

There was nothing we didn't like, though my partner felt the bathroom floor could have been a bit cleaner. It looks like some of the fittings were from a car-boot sale, and were fitted by an amateur. Also, there is no hotel parking, though there is a large public car park right around the corner - €3.50 per day, free on Sundays. The room was small, but comfortable and perfectly adequate. To be honest, at €35 pppn, we would have no hesitation in going back. Just don't expect 4-star luxury

The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Clonmel, very convenient for shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants - with a cinema just around the corner. If you're into the outdoors, there's a great pathway along the nearby Suir river into Kilsheelan and Carrick-on-Suir, and a Heritage Trail with a huge amount of history. The hotel was great value - we paid €142 for two nights for two people, including breakfast. It's an old-style, quaint hotel (more of a guest house really) with some amazing period/antique furniture and fittings.

Check in was not too welcoming. Room was pretty small, and the key to enter in and out of the room was very finicky.

Location was helpful, there was plenty of hot water, the room was warm and cosy.

Missing part of the shower door.. It was explained the reason, but was there not another room? Also the parking situation. I was advised where to park by a staff member, but it would have worked out rather pricey. Lucky for me when I keft the barriers were open. I did not mind paying sone fee but I strongly feel that if there is not on site parking then the hotel in question needs to come to an agreement with the local council. After all it benefits all.

    Friendly staff.

    My bed wasn’t very comfortable.

As the hotel was built in the 19th century it was good to experience staying in a place that old. The dining was quaint and an abundance of food at breakfast. The pub downstairs had live music playing in the evening. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean.
