Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandEverything was perfect
Beautiful tranquil place. The sun was shining and it was a little piece of heaven on earth. The staff were excellent, all very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and my scallops were cooked to perfection. The bed was very comfortable. Room is small but big enough for a few nights. Great traditional Irish bar with live music. Most enjoyable. Fantastic location to get the ferry to Inishboffin or to visit Kylemore Abbey. Highly recommend.

United KingdomI don't like to criticise but the mattress in our room was awful. It sloped towards the window and I kept thinking I was going to fall out of bed.
We loved this place and will return. The staff were fantastic and made us so welcome. The views of the harbour and mountains just beautiful. Thank you so much.

United KingdomThe seafood menu was a bit limited, but that could be due to it being low season.
Wonderful little place. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. The views are stunning. Really handy for Connemara national Park. Breakfast was good.

United States of AmericaThe room is very small even with the family size. The deco looks old and need some upgrade. There're no chairs.
The hot breakfast is the highlight of the stay. Delicious eggs, bacon, sausage, and toasts. The staff is very friendly. The B&B is conveniently located close to Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park.

CanadaThe room was cold when we arrived and since the windows are not properly sealed it was quite drafty. When we went to bed at past 10 pm, the room was still cold. In the morning the heating only started at 8 am. Pretty chilly in the room on a very chilly morning. However, I asked for the heating to start earlier in the morning and on the second morning of our stay, it started and 6 am which was lovely.
Friendly and cosy country pub. Loved sitting by the fire to plan the next leg of our trip. Stayed two nights. It’s a great place to stay to explore the area.

GermanyOur room faced the road and was above a supermarket. As the delivery arrived at 6:30 in the morning, the night ended early for us.
We liked the friendly staff at this bed and breakfast and the room was fine for what we needed it for. It's nice that this stay had breakfast included in the price.

United States of AmericaBreakfast didn't start until 8:30am and we had to leave by 7am to make a longer hike and continue on our journey.
It was a quaint little place in the middle of the most gorgeous landscapes. The pub downstairs had live music and the musicians even included us in their jam session. It was welcoming, easy, and I would recommend staying there.

IrelandOmg as soon as I arrived, I fell in love with the place. The scenery, the location, the inside of the restaurant was so beautiful decorated with local antiquities, the fisherman bringing in their catch out at the pier, the mountains, the sea, the rawness if rugged Connemara, it was exceptional. The dinner was so fresh, I had fish, the room was so cosy, the hostess was just an angel. Just what the doctor ordered.

Czech RepublicWiFi was working so well which caused problems for example with the credit card terminal in the restaurant but we didn't hurry to be anywhere else so we didn't really mind.
We loved the location next to the pier and the sea food restaurant - the food was really the highlight of our stay. Also if you like long quiet countryside walks, as we do, it's the perfect place for you.

BelgiumThe menu in the "seafood" bar was "out of season" and barely offered any seafood that sounded fresh even though the pier is next doors. There was only mobile heating in our room.
