Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It wasn't a problem for us but others might find the lack of a lift difficult. Also, the hotel doesn't have a car park but free parking was available nearby.
The location next to shops restaurants, bars and tourist spots was so convenient. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had lunch there and it was delicious and we were sitting in a warm comfortable room. It is a lovely bright attractive hotel with some very creative Christmas decorations.

i was in a top floor room with a skylight. there was a hail shower in the middle of the night and hail on the skylight woke me.
excellent location on the middle of the main street in Kinsale. Excellent welcome and easy on line check in before arrival. Rooms are neat and clean and obviously recently upgraded.

Staff in bar/restaurant. Lack of attention to detail. kept asking us were we ok but not actually listening. Drinks and food orders wrong due to not listening and had to be replaced. When replaced they were lovely but the waiting staff let it down.

A latch on a window in our room was broken and the window could not fully close.

Lack of on-site or near parking. Had to drop off luggage in a very small area on the street and parked up the hill in public parking was nice that it was free but inconvenient. However, we understand that you are working within the constraints of lots of cars on the public streets and nowhere to put a parking garage.
The location was excellent - in the heart of the city. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the bar with live singing. Cocktails were excellent.

Breakfast service was terrible. Waited an hour for our breakfast. Coffee lukewarm & had trouble getting a second cup. Wait staff never came around after ordering. Had to seek out managerial staff to get coffee & water. Other tables who came after our table of 4 persons received their breakfasts before we did. My husband's eggs were cold too.

no air conditioning - was only about 20 degrees for our stay but the room got a little stuffy. we did have a fan in the room though which was fine for us. Would be a bit uncomfortable on a warm day though I’d imagine! no lift, but the lovely staff helped us up and down the stairs with our luggage
nice rooms, perfection location, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious included breakfast which was the best we had in Ireland! Will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Kinsale

Forgot to ask for a room with a view so it was a bit dark/interior- like a converted back room. A wasted opportunity…window opened to a strange little outside space which could be developed as a nice outside terrace. There was a hum from a generator. Coffee- Nespresso type not functioning- was it me? Attempts to boil water on it for tea also failed.
Breakfast excellent- lovely staff- we sat in the bar area which had a nautical ambience. Very talented singer/guitarist played here the night we arrived. Location central

Food was served cold. The americano was already lukewarm when got to the table. No hot water at 7am for my shower.
