Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaNeeds full refurbishment. The corridors and common areas are covered with some carpets, which need very deep cleaning. The room was OK, but we did not have towels and none of the phones worked. We found out that we need to pay for the parking in addition to the room price when we arrived. Apparently it is mentioned some place in the general conditions, but ...the hotel should be more transparent abd inform you with the booking.
Good location. Good public transport around.

IsraelThe photos on Booking.com clearly showed a double room with a bedroom that had windows, which we specifically chose due to allergies and because I was traveling with my baby — fresh air was very important. Upon arrival, we were told we were being “upgraded” to a double room, even though that’s what we had booked. The baby crib was also presented as a special favor, though it was listed as available on Booking, with no mention of extra costs. I chose this hotel mainly because a crib was offered — something not easy to find in apartments. Unfortunately, the room didn’t match the photos. The bedroom had no windows, which was a serious issue. I informed reception and asked to be contacted so we could arrange a room change after my appointment, but no one called me back. That night, we stayed in the room, and the lack of fresh air made it very uncomfortable. The next morning, the same receptionist admitted she had forgotten to call. I expressed my disappointment, and she asked me not to leave a bad review as it might cost her her job. She promised a special offer for a future stay and gave me her number — but when I followed up, she didn’t respond. As a former Taglit manager in Germany, I booked this hotel many times and had hoped for a much better experience. Sadly, this stay was disappointing, especially considering the poor customer service and lack of follow-through.
It was a lovely surprise to find a small Tu BiShvat gift waiting for us upstairs. The bed was really cozy

New ZealandMary the receptionist manager was very helped, she provided the information I needed and she was always there to help. I can say her customer service is 10 out of 10. She is amazing, perhaps she is the star of the hotel. the hotel is well located, the train station to the airport and tel Aviv is about 50 meters from the hotel so as trams and buses. From here you can go different part of the country , even the bus central station is here, about 50 meters from the hotel. You can also walk from here to the old city or take a tram or a bus.

IsraelI have stayed at this hotel several times, and it has always been a good experience. Mary and her coworkers on the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is right next to the central bus station, the railway station, and the light rail. So it is very convenient to get to anywhere from there by public transportation. Parking is also fairly easy, though not free.

CanadaFrom the moment I stepped into Jerusalem Gold Hotel, I entered into a legacy of charm and elegance. I was welcomed with a warm reception by Mary, who is tri-lingual in English, Hebrew, and Arabic. She was eager to serve and assist me upon my arrival even sitting in the lounge area with a latte for me. I felt like I had arrived at my second home away from home. Any questions or directions I required throughout the week were promptly answered and attended to by Mary. Coffee and cool refreshments were available throughout the day. Trays of delicious pastry greeted us every morning. The view from my 8th floor room provided a wonderful scene of daily life in downtown Jerusalem. The bed and the pillows were the most comfortable accommodations I have ever slept in! The location is superb as access to areas of interest are within walking distance and all forms of transportation are just steps away from the hotel. Upon checkout, there was a vast spread of cultural delicacies available to enjoy! I felt like it was a personal ‘bon voyage’! I had the privilege of meeting Ariella, the General Manager, who was a pillar of grace for the hotel, a true gem! The whole experience at Jerusalem Gold was markedly wonderful and made it difficult to leave. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Jerusalem. You will not be disappointed!
