Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe rooms are beyond old looking. We stayed for four nights at the Leonardo Hotel in Eilat just before the Passover holiday, accompanied by my daughter and wife. This was our first visit to Eilat. While browsing on Booking.com, I noticed that many of the hotels seemed outdated based on reviews. Nevertheless, I assumed a five-star hotel couldn't be that bad and chose the Leonardo due to its competitive pricing and similar facilities and location compared to others. Upon entering the hotel, my family and I were immediately taken aback by the lobby's bustling atmosphere and the pervasive smell from the restaurant. However, the check-in process was smooth. When we got to our room, we experienced another surprise; although spacious and clean, it looked significantly outdated. This dampened our enthusiasm for the holiday, as we wondered how we would manage the remainder of our stay. The hotel urgently needs a thorough renovation, not just a superficial makeover one
The staff and their ambitious for us to stay in comfort. After making the reservation on Booking.com, the hotel sent me a WhatsApp message. The next day, as my family and I started our journey to the hotel, they called to check if we were okay. During each day of our stay, they either messaged us on WhatsApp or called in person to ask if we needed anything and to ensure we were doing well. The reception staff, along with housekeeping and the restaurant team, were incredibly warm. The service was exceptional and welcoming. Thank you Ava 😊 and to all the others

IsraelNothing, everything was amazing
The staff went above and beyond for us and set up our room with complimentary wine to celebrate our engagement. They put out love hearts on the bed and balloons. They really tried to make it special for us and we really appreciated it. The breakfast was incredible and the location was perfect. Close and walking distance to everything in the main area.

IsraelThe hotel was so beautiful and relaxing. I had a view of the pool and the sea from my room and it was like a dream. I booked a massage, which was fantastic and went for a run in the spa as well This was a well needed holiday from work, and I am really glad that I chose to stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I’ve actually never been to a hotel with such dedicated and kind staff. It was every single member of staff too! Especially Ali who worked the night shift at the desk. I called the desk in the middle of the night with some questions and he was so helpful.

IsraelThe coffee line at breakfast was slow and not enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant can be more helpful and smiling.
Bat-Sheva was the woman behind the enjoyable staying. She is a real market woman. Good vibes about the manager too. Elias in the reception was also nice and helpful. Great team! Great breakfast also.

HungaryThe location is perfect, right on the main promenade with easy access to the beach, restaurants, malls, and also to the local bus stops, which is great when going to Coral reef or Dolphin reef for example. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool (heated to around 28-30 celcius) which is open until 4:45pm in the winter, and if you pay extra, you can use the jacuzzi and sauna in the spa (open until 7pm). Only the main (heated) pool is open in the winter though, the other one was closed. There is also a nice private beach you can use, right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was a amazing, a wide selection of food the choose from. There is a business lounge for which you can pay, if you get a good offer you can have a light lunch there, just be sure to go on time because late in the afternoon they serve only dessert. The staff was really nice, they will go out on a limb to help you. I definetely recommend staying in the Leonardo Plaza hotel!

LithuaniaLittle information from the hotel about departure and arrival from the airport. I think that the hotel itself is able to provide such a service for free. The price-quality ratio is not good - but this is a problem for all of Israel. The hotel could better organize tourist tours to Jordan or Egypt, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea. That would add quite a few points. Now this is done rather dismissively. Spa center. It would be better if the hotel didn't even show it to anyone...
The hotel is located in a strategically good location. The sea is 50 meters away. There is a sufficiently comfortable swimming pool with sunbeds on the territory. (free). By the way, sunbeds by the sea are also free. We were there from December 31 to January 3. Since we are from Lithuania, the sea temperature is about 21-22 degrees, it was even too warm :). Near the hotel there are many places for small shopping, from food to gifts, it is not worth wasting time looking for something cheaper on the outskirts of the city, everywhere in Israel is expensive :). I liked the hotel staff the most. I travel a lot, so I give the staff a lot of points. Helpfulness 10.The hotel itself is not new, it is not cheap, but in an expensive country it is a solution if you want to have comfort, the sea and the city center with silence. The breakfast food has a large selection and is delicious. The truth is the same, and it is not oriented towards European taste, it can get boring after a week. It didn't cause us any problems.
