A beautiful property away from the hustle and bustle of main Almora town. This place guarantees you peace and quiet. The cottages are adorable, the staff very warm and attentive to your comforts, and they make the yummiest food! The picnic lunch they packed for our trek was most appreciated. We also loved the evening bonfires.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

My friend and I booked for two nights but ended up staying for longer :). The Kafal room was a bit compact yet cozy. We visited the other cottages, Pine and Deodar, they were spacious and have large windows overlooking the stunning mountain scenery. If you ask me I'd highly recommend you take their masterpiece, the Deodar cottage. The bathrooms are all very neatly crafted. Gives a sense of both luxury and a local Uttarakhand-style finish at the same time. The bathroom roofs have large sunlights. Taking a bath in there was quite a unique experience. Their food and their hospitality were first-class. We tried their Kumaoni cuisine –– it was delicious and handcrafted with local flavors. Must try! One small con is the location is remote and hence one must stay for at least 3 nights to do justice to what the place has to offer. The rooms and cottages are about 3-4 minutes downhill walk from the parking. If you have an elderly person with you, they may take a little longer. The staff is always there to help.

    There wasn't anything that I didn't like

Simply the best resort I have stayed in, in a very long time. I've stayed at highly rated hotels and BnBs throughout the world, but Amit and his very hospitable team rank first in service. The property itself was unique, built with utmost care, taking inspiration from centuries old local stone-style design. The view of the Himalayan peaks from the Estate was breathtaking. We sat down in the evening at the open patio outside the oak rooms and enjoyed watching the stunning views sipping hot tea with cookies. The staff was ever smiling. The candlelight dinner was elegant! The food was delicious, the rooms were tidy. We also made a trip to Jageshwar temple complex, about 45 min drive from the estate. This 1500 year complex situated amongst a beautiful Deodar forest, is one of the most revered Shiva temples. Even if you are not religious, go there for a sublime experience. A very special lunch during the trip (extra charges applicable) rounded off a perfect day. Highly recommend it and will visit again soon!

There is simply no room for complaints or any feedback.

We stayed here for one night. They've got the best service and this is no exaggeration. Special kudos to Amit, Bhavana, and their team for hosting us with such a warm, home-like pampering. Their food made with freshly sourced local veggies was top-notch. They kept serving even better meals every time. Since we had booked for one night, we paid a little extra to take us for a picnic lunch (for 2 or more nights, a picnic lunch is complimentary). The setting of the property is stunning. One day does not do justice to the place, so next time we will stay for longer. Overall, the place is a must-visit!
