The hotel is a little overpriced for the quality of amenities provided. The wallpaper looks good but in my room, the edges were frayed and peeling off in a few places. The bathroom was cramped, the basin faucet was crooked to one side (though it worked just fine) and the rain head shower leaked when the handheld was used. These little things are holding back this hotel from being the genuine top-tier property that it can surely be.

The sea facing rooms have an amazing view and the rooms are also decently big. The beachfront location is wonderful, and the direct access through the hotel makes it convenient to visit the beach while avoiding the crowd. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety, and everything tastes really good. The in-house bar at Gaada is great, and with good food and music, the late-evening vibes are immaculate.

The swimming pool was nice but did not have a changing room or shower close to it. Either one could go down the steps to use the shower or go to the gym one floor above through the public area.

Room was sea-facing, though at an angle. Also was overlooking the pool (beach and sea being after the pool). Breakfast was nice and had a good spread. Location was excellent! Just on the beach and in a nice locality with good restaurants and shops close enough. The deck in front of the bar was marvellous, where one could enjoy food and drinks from the hotel. The swimming pool was nice too.

Only 2 places to eat during the day apart from room service. Food was very pricey. There should be little more continental variety at breakfast, as the hotel has more tourists.

The check in process took too long…a good 1/2 hour. The access cards didn’t work and had to be reactivated, the safe was not working and only had some one See it 1 day before check out.

The staff are sexist and lazy. Even though it was me that booked and paid for the room they still insisted on addressing my Dad and not me whenever we were at reception. There is a problem with getting hot water in the rooms in the evening. My dad also said this last year when he stayed and it’s a shame they haven’t fixed this issue yet. I booked three rooms for our group, two of which had problems with the hot water and each night we had to call and engineer to get the hot water started. During our first evening at the hotel we saw a family that had been swimming in the pool but the child was being treated by a first aider as there was glass in the pool so this put me off immediately. Our checkout took 1 hour. The people behind the desk are extremely switched off and just very unhappy people. There was a woman on the desk, who was not the one serving me, her name was Akshata- I could literally see customer after customer she was making everyone unhappy. I have never seen someone so miserable in all my life. Her attitude towards the customers I saw in that 1 hour I was trying to checkout was disgusting. Luckily we checked out well in advance the night before we were due to leave at 4:30am. We called the reception twice for someone to come and pick up our luggage and bring it down (we had four large suitcases so some help would really have been appreciated) but no one came, so we took them down ourselves.

Our experience at Novotel Mymbai was lovely! We celebrated our first anniversary here and also got to meet the Head Chef, which was one of our cherished moments. The hotel has very good security measures and staff are all out to cater to every need. We will be coming back as we definitely had a lovely experience.

Breakfast and location were great. However the property itself, the rooms are not up to the mark for a 5 star hotel in my open. Needs way more work.

The pillows were old and lumpy and uncomfortable. The coffee could have been something other than instant--though thank god for sleepy owl, much tastier than nescafe.The repeated security checks seemed excessive

The location on Juhu beach was amazing. The view from the room was outstanding. The proximity-walking distance-to prithvi Theatre was wonderful.
