Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was just perfect.
The place is clean and welcoming, with well-maintained and cozy spaces. The sofa bed is surprisingly comfortable, great even for longer stays. The sauna is a real highlight, perfect for unwinding. The host was always responsive and quick to reply. The patio is spacious and offers a beautiful view of the mountains, making it ideal for peaceful moments. A truly great experience.

Cottages are really nice, with a big terrace and a well-equipped kitchen. The sauna is a big plus after a long day.

Very clean and cute cottage in a great location. Our family enjoyed the view of the mountains while in the hot tub! Lorenzo was welcoming and provided clear check-in infos. Wi-Fi was good, our kids used the ChromeCast TV and watched their fav show on TV. We used the outdoor BBQ, which was great, and the kitchen was stocked with all amenities to cook as well

Cozy cottage in a nice nature spot, we enjoyed the view from the private patio. The kitchen was fully stoked with all the basics to cook and the host provided clear check-in infos. We enjoyed the Finnish Sauna, which was a cool way to end our long day on the road. The cabin was spotless clean and we had a good night sleep

Easy check-in, Lorenzo was helpful providing all infos in advance. The cottage was great, we enjoyed using the BBQ and relaxing on the Finnish Sauna. The property is located just outside Dalvik in a lovely nature spot and we were lucky to spot some Northern Lights at night as well!!

The cottage is so peaceful! Lorenzo was helpful providing all check-in infos and the place was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we really enjoyed our stay. Waking up to the valley was breathtaking

small, all in one room, tight for stotage. ensuite toilet behind a curtain. need to know your partner well! sauna is great but access is via other cottages patio and hot tub. shower is in same block as sauna

Our only complaint is that there wasn't any hot water in the shower. There was a label on the shower that said "caution hot water" but we never had hot water. It was lukewarm to warm for about 2 or 3 minutes, then it would grow cold. However, the water coming out of the kitchen and bathroom facets was very hot, but not the shower.
The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. It was in a beautiful location with beautiful views from the windows and deck. We saw the Northern Lights one night from the deck (we were there in September). The cottage was close to town so we could buy gas and groceries, as well as eat in restaurants. Also, the car ferry to Grimsey Island and whale watching tours were close by (5 To 7 minutes away). There was plenty of on site parking too

Couldn’t get much hot water for showers.
Location was outstanding. Very comfortable accomodations that was well stocked with whatever was needed. Wifi was good. Proprieter was very communicative prior to our arrival with great instructions regarding our stay. Close to Dalvik but still felt we were in a beautiful spacious area.

Booked last minute and the host was quick to send clear self check-in infos. The cottage is very cute and stylish, it fits 2 people perfectly. Very clean in all areas with a comfortable sofa bed. Linen and towels were provided and we even used the private Finnish Sauna, which was a nice way to end our trip. A gas BBQ was available on the patio of the cottage but we didn't use it

Very pleasant cottage with large terrace and a jacuzzi. The whole place is very cozy and perfectly isolated. The view is beautiful and the place very quiet. The whole cottage is very clean, beds are very comfy and the kitchen well equipped. There are thick curtains everywhere even on the bunk beds to block the light at night.

So far Iceland has been really good with accomodation and Lorenzos house is not any different. One thing I would improve is slightly renovate all those cottages as they a little left out... Getting old. Also adding some more curtains would help when is too bright outside. Little things but would probably help.
Lorenzo was an absolute champion. Great property great host and oh boy, what a views all around. One of most magical places in Iceland. Didn't really used big bathtub but I was lucky enough to use sauna and it was great. Would really recommend beer spa 5 min drive from Lorenzos house, it was fantastic. Overall one of top places in Iceland.

The cottage was clean and the sofa bed comfortable, we used both the BBQ outside on the patio and the Sauna, which was great way to end our day. Good wi-if connection. We arrived late at the property and Lorenzo provided us clear check-in infos and few tips regarding sightseeing in the sea. We’ll be back.

Very good accommodation just outside Dalvik. Clear communication with the host, the cottage was clean and tidy and perfect for our family. Good Wi-Fi connection, relaxing on the hot tub was what we needed after a long day on the road. Value for money, recommended to everyone
