Nothing really. The price is high, but thats Iceland for you. Its not a cheap place to travel here.

After reading some of the reviews I got quite worried. But everything that has been commented on has been fixed by the hotel. There was no smell in the bathroom, they had scent sticks. If you thought the room was cold, you could plug in an extra radiator. If you thought the room was too bright, they provided an eye mask. We could easily get an extra pillow from the reception for my pregnant wife.

We loved our room with both an indoor entrance and convenient outdoor private entrance. There was also a convenient coded keypad for entry, so no key was necessary. Breakfast was better than most, with a waffle station, home-made banana bread and cinnamon bread. The location can’t be beat, near the Soup Company, the Katla Visitor’s Center, the Katla Wool Company, and the meeting place for Troll Expeditions (we had a tour, and this was a pleasant surprise!).

I don't mind not to have a television but I bother to have it mentionned in the booking and finally to not have one in the room. We had 2 rooms. One room looked quite old. The sink was tiny and the shower basic.

Very convenient check-in. The homemade cakes are delicious and the make-your-pancake option is great. The breakfast buffet is various.

View from our room was to the garbage container in inner yard. Shower stream was very weak.

Location was rather good. Away from the main street and therefor quiet. You could have a waffles for breakfast, that was good. Complimentary kits were available.

Friendly check in guy that was covering for the receptionist. Offered local advice on restaurants which was very helpful. The place in handy for everything since Vik is another small town in Iceland, which was very nice and some great new restaurants/ bars opened a 10minute walk away. Would recommend to others.

No TV in the room, although advertized. My confirmation clearly states TV, satellite channels, Flat TV. Parking is limited, shared with a Hostel adjacent building.

The room is pretty poor for the price plus we specifically asked for the cleaning and they have just exchanged our towels. Everything was dirty from the black sand that we beought from the beach on our shoes. Dont forget to take them off in front of the room :) The bedsheets were stained and the bed wasnt very comfortable.

Breakfast is amazing! Everything that we eat at home: -cooked eggs -breads -waffles -ham -salami -no sugar spreads -cornflakes etc. -coffee -tee -juice -water -fruits -skyr We missed only plain yoghurt, everything else was perfect. The location is also nice - close to the black sand beach and to the restaurants. I liked the hand and body wash - it was nice smelling and the fact thay we could make the room pitch dark.

The room was ok, with everything you need. The hotel is very well located in Vik. The breakfast is a highlight, with delicious banana bread and spicy bread (go there, eat it and learn the recipes too 😉). The fruit and gluten-free options are also worth mentioning.

I didn't love having to rent two rooms for my family of 4. I wish there was another option. This made for a very expensive one night stay.

I loved the location! Within walking distance to the beach! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the eye masks and earplugs. The view from our room was beautiful as well. Self check-in made it easy but when we needed something we called and someone came right over to help. He was so friendly, gave us tips on where to go for dinner, and made us love the place much more! We loved having a cup of tea in the evening, too.

Rooms are "OK" sized, I'd say they are rather small. But we haven't spent much time inside, so it was ok.

The staff is wonderful 😊 Very helpful people. The location is great too.

Overall the property was great. It would be nice to have USB outlets to charge phones.

This inn is in a great location and you can easily walk to anything in Vik from it. The rooms are basic but have just what is needed. The beds were comfortable and WiFi worked well. The bathrooms were clean and showers worked well. We liked the tea kettles in the rooms and variety of tea bags. The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations with a lot of options for family.
