The shower was nice and big but the stone floor of it was not my favorite choice. A mat was provided to help make it more comfortable which was appreciated.

The Garage is a true gem of a place. Location is fantastic, directly on Ring Road and between numerous points of interest. Would be an excellent home base for seeing basically all of the South coast of Iceland but we unfortunately had just one night here. The property itself is a delight including homey and cozy interior spaces, and beautiful views in basically every direction. The warm welcome from the owner made us feel like we were visiting some of our favorite relatives (if we had any that lived somewhere as fantastic as this!). We had a charming room in the converted cow house, featuring a nice private patio/deck space that faced the sea, a kitchenette, and a nice-sized bathroom. Behind the buildings there is a waterfall under the cliff.

The kitchenette in the room was a bit small and awkward to use but manageable for two nights; can also use the communal kitchen utensils and facilities.

We loved the host and the cake & cookies (freshly baked daily on site by the friendly host, the smell was amazing as we entered the building to check in!), room interior & styling, location with stunning views, very informative booklet written by the host about the history of the place, main attractions & various handy tips, proximity to the famous waterfalls, games and entertainment for children.

Rooms are built in what was previously the garage on the family property. Room is spacious, homely, very well facilitated with a well equipped kitchen. Property is located next to the lake, backed by a mountain. It even has its own waterfall on the property that you can hike up to for a morning walk! There are no supermarkets or convenience shops nearby but the owners would have informed, so always check-in ready with food. The owners also have 2 Shollies (I think they are Shollies) who will accompany you and keep you entertained. One even followed us when we went for the walk up to the waterfall in the backyard.

The accommodation was a good size with a well equipped private kitchen plus a communal kitchen and seating area if required. The accommodation had a friendly laid back atmosphere and the owner cooked cakes and biscuits for everyone to share during their stay. There was electric charging available and also a hot tub outside which was a relaxing bonus. The Garage will definitely be on our list for future visits.

We stayed one night at The Garage during our honeymoon roadtrip in Iceland and absolutely fell in love with this place! We wish we would have stayed longer. We have travalled a lot over the world but this place was special: so warm and cozy - felt like home away from home. We had studio apartment which was beautifully decorated and we also loved the private terrace with view to the beach. Location next to the mountains and waterfall is just amazing! We also loved sheep, two dogs, elf homes and hot tube (that was perfect relaxation after the long drive). Hosts were amazing too - Anna had baked some sweets which we guests were welcome to enjoy, they were so good!

An extraordinary location with a waterfall just behind the location. Beautiful studio apartment, spacious, super clean and comfortable. Kitchenette perfect for preparing food, beds comfortable. The host was amazingly kind - we were coming late and she was kind enough to stay up late for us. There was even cake she prepared and we were more than happy to dig in. Don't forget the hot tubs.

the stove was a little hard to figure out because it had a child lock but once I figured it was fine.

great little studio with heat and small kitchen. the bathroom was nice with a large shower and hot water with heated floors. on arrival the host had made some cake and cookies. on the property there are friendly dogs and lots of sheep. the location is great near the major waterfalls.
