Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanThe room is very atmospheric but pretty dim, and the table cannot stand properly (one of the feet is too short). The breakfast is very simplistic. Some of the wall lamps are not functional.
Love the classical European style of the hotel. The decorations make it really vibey. The wifi is strong, and the room offers the most comprehensive package we've seen in all Iceland hotels we've seen. There's body lotion, tea bags, tissue paper, a big trashcan, a big table (though broken), and a big TV. The reception and the dining area are very cozy, and there's also a hot bath outside.

SwitzerlandI really liked the hot pot. But also the very friendly staff as well as our enterprising Breakfast Room in the basement. I forgot somethin in the hotel and they got in touch with me. Two days later I got it back. I am very grateful how helpful they were. Thank you so much!

United KingdomThe restaurant is a bit pricey and there aren't too many options in the area, however it was very convenient for us on our route.
Nice hotel partly in a very cool old building. The room was comfortable and clean although on the smaller size. The room had some tea and coffee available. There is a decent hot pool you can use.

United KingdomAccess to the annex, where we were staying, could have been better. A smooth path, perhaps covered, would have been appreciated.
A warm welcome, and room clean and comfortable, if a little on the small side. A nice evening meal in the restaurantdownstairs, which was full of character, and a decent breakfast, too

GermanyWhen we arrived for breakfast. There was almost nothing, although it was only 9:30 am. The waitress, who was very dismissive, said there was nothing left because it had to defrost and bake first. Only when my wife insisted was there more. This ruined the good experience of the previous evening with delicious food and a very cordial Czech waitress. A pity.
Our room was at the end of a small corridor that could only be reached via an extremely steep staircase - unfortunately without help from the staff. The room was dark and old-fashioned and half of the lamps did not work.

AustraliaShower was very small but that was what would fit in the bathroom.
This is an annexe attached to the oldest hotel in town. We had the biggest room and a view as well. There was heaps of space for our bags and cold weather gear. (We had a lot) Breakfast was very good, in a basement dining room that was decorated with heaps of memorabillia. There was a private natural hot spring in the grounds that was nice and hot. Staff were lovely and did our washing for us.

United KingdomNo negatives to think of.
We arrived in the evening after a long drive so were delighted that we could make use of the hot tub outside, it was so warm and relaxing! The hotel itself was really charming with an antiquey feel to it. We were given a huge room which was very quaint. It was very clean and comfortable and we loved the history of the place. The staff were lovely and helpful too.
