Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe doors in the hallway are noisy so we were woken by the sound of other guests leaving. Maybe the hinges need some oil. I’m sure easily rectified.

United KingdomRoom wasn’t very dark and the shutters didn’t go all the way down, had to put some spare bedding over the window to keep out the light. Also the building is having a lot of work being done, this starts pretty early and the sounds of drills can be heard all day - not the fault of the property but good to be aware if you are wanting to work from the room or sleep in!
Such a central location, just a few mins walk from the middle. Very easy instructions for self check in. Very large spacious room. A really great stay.

United KingdomNo coat hangers, bring your own shower head and a drying towel warmer in the bathroom would have been appreciated. It is accepted that the renovation works are necessary and temporary, but advance notice would have been courteous.

IrelandI really enjoyed my stay at the place. If I had to suggest improvements, it would be the shower screen and perhaps replacing the showerhead, but everything else worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend Al Teatro to anyone.
Al Teatro is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Verona who values comfort, convenience, location, and great value for money. Situated in the heart of the historic city center, yet nestled on a quiet side street, it offers the perfect blend of restful sleep and easy access to the city's main attractions. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided, and the Wi-Fi connection is excellent. Communication with Arianna was smooth and straightforward, and the self-check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow.

RomaniaThe building is old and smells of mold at the entrance, but in the apartment you don't feel that smell anymore. The common hallway of the apartment is a bit dark. There is only one lamp on and it is a bit scary. The building's facade is under renovation and scaffolding is being installed at the window. There were a few street people who lived on the streets in the area and who made a bit of noise at night. We were with 2 small children, but I don't recommend staying with children in the area.
The location is 1 min from the center. The room was very big and the bathroom was very clean, even though it is separate from the room. We had a key to the bathroom and no one bothered us. For what I paid, I didn't have high expectations :)

GermanyElectric outlets don’t always work properly. One big issue - the apartment does not have air conditioning. It was already uncomfortable to sleep in early May, in summer it would be unbearable.
The location us perfect - very central, but not crowded and close to big parking garages. There is a supermarket right next to the apartment.

United StatesThe detached bathroom was private but it did require getting up and going through a couple of doors and i felt bad making noise in the middle of the night.
Instructions to enter the apartment were quite clear. The location was perfect for quick access to the piazza. WiFi was adequate for answering emails/text and even a video call. Did not try to stream any services. High quality toilet paper which I appreciated.

Romaniathe only big minus, the non-existent air conditioning. even so, there was a fan. Also, the shower cabin is very small, and the shower head is broken, the water pressure ends up hurting you. the location was excellent and very close to the arena. Thank you for all! In the end, I will recommend the location! :)

PolandDepending on your neighbors in other rooms it can be a bit noisy at night, but then it’s not the owner’s fault at all
Each room has a different style and there’s a nice lobby with kettle and coffee machine. There are even some books to borrow. The place is located next to main tourist attractions.
