Gorgeous property. Time of year not great with no access to the beach or open facilities. Spa was closed while we were there early in the week but they arranged for the masseuse to come in on her day off for us. She was very good!

The location is a bit isolated because it is the last resort of a beach line but it's nice to relax. The only way to get around is by taxi or private car. The infrastuctures around the hotel are quite poor.

Cleaning is amazing, location in front of the beach with direct access, green areas, classic local decoration but with high standards. The beach is extensive and clean, golden sand. Very professional staff. It's a nice surprise and a very good classic 4* hotel.

The beach underneath the hotel wasn't great. The room was quite old and small. Breakfast was very basic. During our checkout we asked if we could stay a couple of hours more at the pool area to enjoy a cocktail and our request got rejected.

The hotel has a very nice pool and garden area, very nice views and plenty of spots for pictures. It is near a very lovely town where you can enjoy local cuisine by the sea. They gave us a wine on check-out which it was a nice touch.

I rated my stay as an 8 instead of a 10 because the hotel was just opening for the season. They were not quite up to speed. Their beach area was not open yet - beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. With that - my rating would have been 10. To be fair, the place is fantastic. The pictures on the Booking web site do not do the place justice. We stayed just one night. A longer stay would allow for more use of the facilities.

They do not allow any outside food or drinks and the menu for dinner is the same every night. they do not offer laundry services even though they say they do( they have a third party take it and bring it back in 2 days but not from sat-mon. The pool closes very early and they also close the beach access so don’t get stuck outside. The bed was two beds that kept sliding apart and very hard. The shower is extremely small. I asked if I could check in an hour early and they said no. Many of the packages for the spa that they advertised were not available and the spay is only open a few days a week even though I booked it because of the spa. The parking is extremely limited and the drive just to get to the hotel is treacherous.

It was a beautiful hotel with a nice view, pool and private beach. The waiting staff, pool staff and bar staff were excellent.

The restaurant for lunch needs improvement on all levels: its not good, no well-cooked local dishes, the price is expensive and the staff is not very friendly towards foreigners. We tried it once and were so disappointed that we ended up eating outside every day.

The place is really well located with a beautiful view of the sea. The private area on the beach is super convenient. The pool is nice. The interior design has a nice cachet.

Unfortunately we didn't really enjoy our experience at the hotel. After the wonderful help finding us a taxi, we then found the the hotel surprisingly unhelpful and unwilling to help with requests. The food was pretty awful. Actually, the vegetables, which others have complained about, were good and nicely cooked and there was a nice choice of green veg, But the meat or fish and the desserts were very poor. The breakfast was limited compared with other hotels we've visited recently. I have an injury and I walk with a stick - I hadn't mention this to the hotel before arrival as I imagined there would be step free access automatically, so I was surprised to find a short flight of stone steps down to the level of our room. I asked if there was another step free way of accessing those rooms but understood there wasn't. I asked if there was any English speaking TV available as they say they provide satellite TV. I was told there was but when I, and others, looked there was only a Chinese programmed for in English! We spent one night and a day at the hotel as independent guests before joining a Riviera Travel group for a few days. We noticed a drop in the quality of the food in the restaurant when we joined the group. In fact we felt a definite sense of 'them and us' in the way we were treated at hotel then. The main thing that would stop us from staying at the Baia again is the fact it is a very long way away from anything else - so you are stuck there.. unless you have a car, Finally, the indoor bar and the pool bar were only open at certain, rather brief times, which made for a rather sad, disappointing feeling that we weren't really wanted very much.

Shortly before we arrived by train at Agrigento station, I received a text from Rosella, who I think must be the manager of Hotel Baia, asking me if we needed any help finding a taxi to the hotel and offering help. We were extremely grateful for this and I did indeed ask for help getting a taxi and Rosella arranged it and it arrived promptly. Wonderful! The interior of the hotel itself is a lovely surprise. It has been really beautifully furnished and planned and was a pleasure to spend time in. The waiters in the dining room were very nice and helpful. The garden is nice to walk through.

In some rooms there is no or very weak wifi network. One has to go to the lobby to check, this was a bit annoying. It would be a simple and cheap matter for the hotel to install a few extenders

Every time you enter the premises, you have to get out of your car and ring the bell to open the gate, which can be inconvenient. The restaurant doesn’t offer many options to choose from, and although a kids’ menu is mentioned, it is actually not available. The breakfast could be improved a lot in terms of variety and quality. Also, if you keep the balcony door open, there are many mosquitoes which can be quite disturbing.

Staff is very friendly and place is clean and tiny.
