Wardrobe to hang clothes with drawers in the 2nd bedroom would have been nice. Needed good instructions on how to use the washer/dryer; where the bleach, laundy soap pods, and softener go; and what each option was good for. The door lock into the building was broken (we understand it's being fixed by the apartment building). Electric outlets were awkwardly placed; this is an older apartment building so that's understandable.

The location was great ... easy walking distance to the ferries and old town Varenna. You can also easily walk to the train station but it's farther away (about 3-4 blocks) and uphill which could be a challenge when you leave if you have heavy luggage. The view from the great room and main bedroom was beautiful. Really liked that it was on a main street so a driver could easily drop us off with our luggage and also pick us up with our luggage. It also has a parking space if you need it. The hosts were excellent. Very responsive to my questions and quickly fixed an issue we had (the twin bed we requested did not have linens when we arrived.) Loved having a washer/dryer combo to use. Liked being able to control the air conditioning and have different temperatures in each room. It was great having a kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, etc. The apartment was comfortable with small dining table and chairs, sofa and TV.

Would have loved to know about the button to release the gate from the inside. We thought we had to use the key and were a little concerned about the safety in case of emergency. Found the button just before we left.

The location was great. It was wonderful to have our breakfast on the balcony. So many thoughtful touches throughout the apartment. The host really considered what we might need for our stay. It was wonderful having AC on those hot days.

The friend I was traveling with got the smaller room with 2 twin beds. The street noise was so loud she couldn't keep her windows open at all. Motorcycles screaming by till late at night.

The master bedroom was very nice, good sized and had a partial lake view from large french doors. The living room was pleasant. We didn't use any of the kitchen facilities. Less than 10 minute walk from train station.

Lovely place, sparkly clean and well appointed. Fully stocked kitchen and washing machine with laundry pods provided. Fabulous location close to the train station and the ferry dock. We had a great stay and communication with the hosts was very pleasant with details provided in advance. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this location. Everything was perfect, from the communication with the host, the cleanliness, the amenities, absolutely everything. Very clean, everything you need, including disposable toothbrushes and all the necessary supplies, fully equipped kitchen. Excellent location, 3 minutes walk from the ferry and the city center and the train station. We will definitely come here again.
