Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The walls are really thin (not suitable for a honeymoon) and the breakfast tabel is not ideal for groups containing more than four people.
Claudia and Marina were very nice and helpful.The breakfast was simple, but they really tried to show us what an Italian breakfast looks like (also, available until 10am). The room was cosy and really clean!:) The apartmant is located in the city center, but far enough from the noisy crowd.

Could not find any English language channels on TV but I was out most of the time, so not important to me.
Claudia, the host was very friendly and helpful. Shared kitchen was well stocked with everything that was needed. Location was great - for FAO, Colisseum and Metro (Circus Maximus). Choice of good restaurants along the road and a supermarket directly opposite too.

One of the staff wasn't very friendly, and was late for 2 mornings. We had to go out one day without eating breakfast.

My only recommendation is the shower door could use replacing. And a small table in the bathroom would have been nice and helpful. Also, the construction in the building making early morning noises was not pleasant after a late night in the city.
The place was very nice. Beyond what I expected. And our hosts, Marina and Claudia were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They also responded to our questions quickly!!! Everything was clean and toiletries provided, which was nice. The breakfast spread in the morning was amazing and excellent!!! One of the best I've seen.

Room was a but small but we needed the 3 beds so it worked
On a great road so close to the attractions. Can walk to Colosseum and many more. Location is quiet and breakfast included

I didn’t like that in property you have personal room and bathroom, but kitchen you share with other guests. From description in booking, I didn’t understand that it will be this way. Air conditioning wasn’t working, but with wide open windows it was o.k. The lights on timer was annoying, especially when light turns off, when you are in the shower.

The big minus is that in early April when the temperature is 5-8 degrees outside, there was no heating in the room. It was very cold, especially at night.
Great location - near the subway and the Colosseum. Very convenient that there is its own kitchen and coffee machine. The room is neat, if there were no repairs to the window, there would be a good view from the window.

Breakfast started only at 8 but we wanted to leave earlier to go and see things. WAs solved by preparing breakfast the day before for us. Even though the bathroom was cleaned well, there were some mold stains.
Rooms were big enough. Rooms were clean. Accommodation was very close to the metro and even within walking distance of the Colosseum. Breakfast was (as communicated by the accommodation) relatively simple but sufficient. Friendly staff. Could leave our luggage on the day of leaving after check out time.

It was a little bit cold in the room. Breakfast is poor and same every day, tost and jam and coffee....
Exellent location. Very clean room and bathroom and kitchen. Very quiet part of the city, great sleep and resting place. Claudia, our housekeeper was very kind and open.

don’t hesitate if you want to have a time in a nice neighborhood in Rome, this one is for you! Claudia is a very kind and lovely woman and will do the best to help you enjoying your stay. the room was very clean, and so did she every single day. there is a big storage for all your clothes and bags you’ll buy in Rome (believe me, this is a true story 😅) I keep the name for my next trip to Rome!
